Anyone ever listen to them? It's this crazy ass French sounding Ska-Punk band. They have Ska-ish bass lines, but they also incorporate some crazy violin in their songs. If you've never heard of them, you should download the song "Strange Uncles From Abroad" or "Copycat".
But those of you that have heard of them, what is your favorite song? I like Strange Uncles From Abroad, it's so different than most of the mainstream music of today.

I believe they actually are some kinda polkapunk band (polka is eastern: europe folk music), a very good one though. I went crazy I saw the live.

but i do see where you come from if you claim the are ska-punkish, they definately have some similarities with ska-punk

Polka-punk is a better way to define them definatly.
It has a fast tempo and a strongly accented offbeat, also it uses various horns to portray the ska-feel of a song.

i don't see the french in them, but they sound pretty good, i'll agree. i never really knew what to classify them, but i'll have to agree on polka-punk.

It's gypsy punk really - Eastern European not French, I guess the accordion can be misleading. They put on an absolutely amazing live show, crowd-surfing on massive drums and shit.

i love gogol. I saw them at Bonnaroo and they floored me. Their live show packs so much intensity and passion it was amazing. The members are from all over the world but Eugene is Eastern European and that influence is very evident in their music.
