Text Messages

I feel like my parents are going to somehow find a way to read them and see what I've written/what my friends have written. This would be a very bad thing to happen, I write about everything to my friends in texts. Being stoned, bands, music, boyfriends...etc.
Is this even possible, for them to read what I've written or what my freinds have written? Or am I just paranoid? Or both?

 

actually yeh my mom has gone through my phone before and read my shit. hahaha. oh well. why dont you just delete them? I guess it depends on how technology savvy your parents are.

 

^ Done that, but my little brother says he heard them talking and that they're trying to figure out a way to read the ones that I've deleted even, like going on their bill and seeing. They already know what time I've been sending them, and they're weirded out by the fact that I don't stop texting till 3Am or later...

If you delete them I wouldnt worry about it, its a whole complex thing to retreive them you have to go through SMSC or some shit. Do you give your parnets reason to be like that? Maybe sit down and talk to them and explain that you feel like its invading your privacy?

Eh no, I do stuff they wouldn't like but I know for a fact they don't know about it. They would have told me what they suspected. In the past that's what they've done, and that's what they do with my siblings. Plus I'm sneaky.
But the stuff I do isn't bad. The worst of it is drugs, and really, it's just weed. The others is listen to music they don't like and don't want me to listen to (Manson, Korn, Slipknot, etc.), go on this site, and stuff like that.

 

hmmm well I wouldnt worry about it. Your parents (no offense) sound a bit strict though. Why dont they want you to listen to that music? Dont get too cocky with your sneakyness, thats when you get caught.

 

My parents are really really Christian. The worst I'm "allowed" to listen to is Disturbed, Metallica, Iron MAiden, etc. I like them, but they aren't it...I like the other stuff. They think I'm still Christian and all, and that other music will make me hate God and rebel, rebel, rebel. What they don't know is I'm Atheist and have been for awhile now. And that even if I listen to other stuff, I don't have to agree with it.

I agree with lakeoffire, just talk to them and tell them to respect your personal territory....They're maybe just scared.....My mom used to be scared for me when there's a period when I don't talk about things I do, so just tell them from time to time about things that happen to you and they'll be calm...
But, seriously, you're 14 and doing drugs?...Huh?.....

 

Like I said, just weed, nothing really bad. I don't think weed's that big a deal, really, if alcohol's legal, why not weed?

 

I don't know, I don't do drugs, alcohol just occasionally, but some of my friends told me that after a year of using weed, they couldn't remember anything, couldn't recognize people from their class and started forgeting their names....
But, you're only 14, what will you do when weed stop working for you?.....

x2. Your parents are smarter then what you think. And weed making you forget classes and stuff after a year? lol I think someones been lying to you. I've been around smokers, been dealing, and smoking for the past 3-4 years, and yet to have any symtoms like that. haha

my friends parents are really strict and they set this plan up with there cell phone company that sends every single text she writes and the number shes sending it to on there bill. So they see everything shes doing.
