it was a few years ago. I travelled quite a bit every year, and I didnt get a cell phone until a couple years ago.... and I would have to use the pay phone alot when I was on vacation
i can't honestly remember. but i do remember being pissed off every time i've had to, at the bone headedness that got rid of having accoustical isolation boths arround them. i'm not sure i can remember the last time i've ever even wanted to vocally comunicate. =^^= .../\...
I've never seen an actual phone "booth." I was at this mall a few months ago, and I asked this Indian guy where I could find a pay phone. He looked at me confused and puzzled. "Pay? Phone? Whaat is dat?" I finaly found one of those things by an entrance that is suppozed to have 5 pay phones in a circle for people to use. The stand thing was there but all the pay phones in the mall had been taken out.
yeeaars ago... even when my cellphone was stolen, i just borrowed my date's cellphone to call my company. phonebooths tend to disappear but i actually noticed recently that there are still a lot of phonebooths in malls, and stations, and i remembered how i used to queue to use them. some pple still use them.. but i guess if u call someone on their cellphone, its cheaper to call from a cellphone, so if u still dont have one, u get ripped off really.
