No, thats not a typo. Allow me to give you a point of view from outside the religion box. The second coming of Christ, as referenced in the bible, is actually symbolic. It is symbolic of a large slice of humanity who have reached spiritual maturity themselves, and have become or will become Christs. What is a Christ? There are several definitions, but in basic terms, it's someone who has merged the personal "I" with the divine. They have emptied themselves of personal desire and now serve humanity as a whole. They do so at no thought of reward. Now, people like Jesus were merged into the godhead. He tried in vain to explain this process to simple people who just couldn't wrap their minds around it. Few can. Even today. However, his message was nothing new. It is really quite ancient, and experienced by numerous people down through the ages. The path itself never changes with time. Only the methods of explaining it change. As we now have over 6 billion people on earth, the number of people who have matured spiritually has also increased, and are now on the verge of contesting everything the religious have been taught about "God". These people do not need religion or scripture. They speak as a matter of personal revelation. They speak from their own hearts, their own innder connection to the absolute. Just as Jesus did. The battle of Armageddon is also symbolic. In reality, the coming war will be between those who are religious, and those who speak from their own inner christ. Religion as you know it today is on the endangered species list. Its time to come out of your caves, put away your superstitions, burn your temples, fire your priests, and experience God directly. "Faith" will no longer be needed. You'll be able to see where you're going. x

Gnosticism? "The Kingdom of Heaven is spread out everywhere upon the earth, and they do not see it." Gospel of Stephen
It actually predates Gnosticism, but its a good call. As I've said, the path itself never changes. All religions are inspired by people who have awakened to the inner christ. It is impossible to write about the experience itself. This is the very reason book based religions fail. They are following a dead book rather than a living master. They have a treasure map, but there's no X on it. You cannot read a holy book and become holy by doing so. You cannot become holy by going to religious school. It takes the transmission of a living master's energy to light this divine flame. It does not come by knowledge alone. You can't get this divine spark from rubbing the two halves of your brain together. Religions will tell you that heaven is "up there" somewhere. Beyond the clouds. I will tell you they are pointing in the wrong direction. The path to the kingdom is inward. Inside of you. This gate opens inward. Religion will tell you that heaven is something you have to wait for. I will tell you that it is here and now. You are already here, but you are blinded by your own ability to create things that stand in your way of seeing it. Religions will tell you that Satan is responsible for the troubles of mankind. I will tell you that your own mind is the true Satan. It has to be conquered in order to rise above the world you have created for yourself. And the mind IS a tool of creation. It has this ability. The mind you see, cannot see beyond it's own creations(the physical realm). It spins it like a cocoon around your perceptions. You fall asleep inside this cocoon and when you wake up, its all you can see. You think its real. The mind knows nothing of the spiritual realm because it cannot go there. This is the desert where Jesus spend 40 days. Its a desert because it is devoid of any spiritual awareness. It is the land of cold logic. No emotion. No compassion. No empathy. No love. In most people, it is the mind which drives, while the heart is made to sit in the backseat. It rarely gets a voice. In an enlightened person, the heart comes forward and speaks with authority. When the mind understands that the heart is more powerful than itself, it will willing submit and become a faithful servant. When this happens, the veil which has seperated you from your true nature is dropped. Your connection to all that is is now seen plainly. You still have your individual identity, but now you have access to all that is. You have entered the kingdom. You become a son of God. You have merged back into what you came from. The nature of God is not that of an all powerful being as depicted in religions. God could be compared with an ocean. Human souls are nothing more than a cup of water taken from this ocean. This is how we are created in God's image. Not physical resemblance, but substance. Enlightenment comes when your cup is poured back into the ocean from which it came. The two become one. There is no difference. You are the God you seek, and the path that takes you home is within you as you. x
i believe the battle of armageddon is symbolic for the weekly battle between diarehha and my anus when I eat ice cream on saturday nights if you don't believe me, you should see the toilet after they're done!
