what is your bedtime routine with toddler? my boy is 2 years old. I try to have bathtime, watch a movie while eating a night snack, and then putting him to bed. Im new at this whole, big boy deal where he doesnt stay in his crib when its time to go to bed, and hes one of those lil ones that fight to stay up as late as they can, even if they are sooo tired.

    Successfull bedtime routines????

My girls aren't toddlers anymore, but basically at two it was, bath, try to potty, little massage while putting on lotion, lay in bed and read a book or tell a story. Mine were always super easy to put to bed and sleep really good.

All three of mine are bathed, story and in bed by 7:00pm.
My two daughters( 1 /12yrs and 4 months) are in there cots and go to sleep no trouble.
My son, 2 1/2yrs, is in his own room, in a bed now and i have a stair gate on his door, so once i have read him a story, i usually put a film on for him and he's usually asleep before it finishes, but he doesn't have to have a film on every night. Sometimes he just plays with his toys for a bit, but i must say, he's liked going to bed more since we bought him a pocoyo duvet set.............he LOVES pocoyo.:)

My oldest is two also. What a fun age.... In our house 7:00 p.m. means diaper change time. 'I change both the baby and toddler at the same time'. Then if the kids have been well mannered and behaved throughout the day, their allowed to do something else for a half hour before bed. If not-- it's straight to bed.

By 7:30 it's story read time. 'My two love that'.... By 7:45 it's lights out and nighty-nite. Such simple stuff in our house bedtime is. I'm a no-nonsense kind of bedtime mom. Any acting up after the lights go out or tom-foolery results in a spanking.
