I have always been a hippy at heart to some degree for as long as I can remember. I have recently have become more aware of my programing as I member of society. I have started smoking pot but I want to know other ways of deprograming myself spirtual ways of doing so and ways that I may not have heard of. If you all could give me some new ways of doing so that would be fucking awsome. I really want to be as free from conformity as it is possible for me. I seek and unconvential way.
Mediation, acupressure, deep breathing, LSD and mescaline, all those can really help you out with deprogramming What I really like to do is turn on the "Soundscapes" music channel where there's no lyrics just beautiful music, clothes my eyes, and let go of the world. As you start to let go of more of the world you'll feel a freedom that absolutely amazing and beautiful If your interested in joining a free and open community than check out my YouTube ad I put up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFTS8PJFfK8
Hey dudette ya gotta read some Krishnamurti, the ultimate deprogrammer wise man. Talks about emptying your head of all the garbage. Other than that I just go out alone into the woods and listen and feel and let my thoughts flow anywhere they want to go.
meditation is great, I started a year ago and cant stop. Of course everyone makes fun of me, but I when you dont care about that, is when you are truly deprogrammed
I also do meditation. Also meditation music (or slow music with sitars) makes me feel calm and peaceful. But there are many ways of meditation, how do you guys all meditate?
Little of this, little of that.. mostly zazen, "sitting", which is paradoxically one of the hardest to do. Eyes open, just sitting. Thoughts that come, whatever, just let them drift on through. Samadhi, or relaxation, is not the goal. Then there's vipassana or insight meditation, using the relaxed and awakened mind as a tool to probe the nature of reality. About as far from "Ommmm am I relaxed yet" as you can get
Deprograming is an interesting way of putting it, I'm lucky to have grown up in the 70s where there were great tv programs and films (The Tripods, Logan's run etc.) that encouraged you to question things, then when I was about 10 I discovered the band HAWKWIND, the rest was easy. Society will not allow you to be truley free. Thinking freely can make living in society very tough indeed but it's worth it.
i started doing early morning meditation and yoga a couple years ago. watching the sun rise every morning and meditating..it has made me appreciate life alot more and it has defintly helped me to become a more spiritual person.
Well thanks everyone sounds good. I will take all of your advice to heart and hopefully be able to use much of it. *Autumn*Epona* just to let you know I live in Monmouth County.
As regards deprogramming I would recommend reading C.G.Jung on the process of individuation.Archetypes and the collective unconscious or Jung selected writings.I think to understand the programming or the way it works is very important.A lot of so called spirituality can be just more programming.Reality is not the same for everybody, buddhistes go into a dream state and say its a higher reality and taoists would say life is but a dream and only at the ultimate awaking do you realize life is the ultimate dream. That is pretty much the opposite.
kind of,I think. Its hard to know it does diffrent things to diffrent people. There is a hindu monk that sit's on the street all day smoking weed.Maybe not the healthest way.
I agree. Psychedelic 'drugs' like peyote and shrooms don't could the mind, they do exactly the opposite. They will attune you to layer upon layer of unimaginable wisdom. Not to mention that when I'm on shrooms I'm the happiest I've ever been. Not to bring all o' ya younguns on any foolish ideas, of course. Drugs baaaaaaaaad.
