Her name is Auroura She was only five This is what happened When she was alive Her dad was a drunk Her mom was an addict Her parents kept her Locked in an attic Her only friend was a little toy bear It was old and worn out And had patches of hair She always talked to it When no one's around She lays there and hugs it Not a peep of sound Until her parents unlock the door Some more and more pain She'll have to endore A bruise on her leg A scar on her face Why would she be In such a horrible place? But she grabs her bear And softly crys She loves her parents But they want her to die She sits in the corner Quiet but thinking, " God, why? Why is My life always sinking? " Such a bad life For a sad little kid She'd get beaten and beaten For anything she did Then one night Her mom came home high The poor child was hit and slapped As hours went by Then her mom suddenly Grabbed for a blade It was sharp and pointy One that she made She thrusted the blade Right in her chest, " You deserve to die You worthless pest! " The mom walked out Leaving the girl slowly dying She grabbed her bear And again started crying Police showed up At the small little house The quickly barged in Everything was as quiet as a mouse One officer slowly Opened a door To find the sad little girl Lying on the floor It must have been bad To go through so much harm But at least she died With her best friend in her arms unknown... I saw this on myspace and thought I'd share.. children are constantly dying from child abuse.. this is just so sad..
Wow, I went back 100 pages looking through some older posts, and I am glad I did. This is very sad, and like greengoddess, I thought I would share.
dude, I love poetry, and this is great, in a morbid sense, but why do poets always focus on that which is unhappy? And thats like all you guys do these days. What is the unhappy with out the happy? Why not write of that which is good?
i love it. sublime94 many poets write what they feel and to express many expriences they have had...some are happy, some are sad, some are gory...depending on who the poet is and their unique style of writing then you cant really say that all poets write about sad things. Yes many of my poems are sad and depressing but ive written some filled with happy memories and love...so seriously dont be so quick to judge.
My God. I can understand parents being pissed off at their kid, but treating a little girl like that... This poem made me angry and sad.
this is pretty awesome it reminds me of something edward gorey would illustrate...if you don't know who edward gorey is check it out!
Sentiments I know all to well. Life can be sad. But the whole morph-freak locked in the bell tower cliche... For some reason has a good line of always fittng somewhere into society. Humans will never stop needing to realize conscience. And thanks for bringing that here. I've read many like it, near tear experiences.
Oh come on now. You can't have the sweet without the sour, life would be boring without suffering. Ying and Yang?
hahaha ying hahaha ok she had a bear, that's a start... Momma and pappa, they had a hell they didn't know how to react to. So on that note, who suffered more? But that's getting into the grinder, and the poem is fine as is.
