I don't like him at all, he is a cock but he was good before he took steroids and his foot grew 3 sizes he should be maybe 100 HRs from the record now
with the nature of baseball...he's just doing what it takes to keep playing at the level everyone else is playing at...if you for one second think its only the big guys that juice, then you have no clue what you're talking about. go after some of thse big time pitchers. cheating? its not cheating when its an accepted part of the game by its players...the fans will always be there, no matter who juices or not i've stated this plenty of times before - the skill to actually make contact with a MLB pitch is phenomenal. and to do it so consitantly, is even greater. steroids have no play with that...no play with hand-eye coordination...nothing to do with his batting mechanics which he has been working on for his entire baseball life. he was already a HOF player before this whole steroid story. these sports casters who sensationalize what would have happened or how many HR's he'd be off if he never used are talking out their ass. is he a champion - no, he doesn't have the WS ring. he's the HR leader, no champion though. oh, and if you think you'll just get swole and jacked for taking a steroid...you still have to bust your ass to get strong and bigger...it just doens't happen magically.
So it is a coincidence that all of a sudden several players hit over 70 home runs in a few years span, when it had never happened before or since, and that those players were Mark McGuire and Barry Bonds, two obvious users....... baseball is back down where it should be now, that era was the dark age
He needs one of these " * " in front of his name. Craig Biggio of the Houston Astros hit his 3000 hit a couple of weeks ago and he's been with the club since he was drafted to the MLB in 1988. He may not be a home run king, but I have more respect for him than a man that uses cheater juice.
did you even read what i wrote? i never said he didn't use steroids, but doesn't mean he did or didn't - no one knows...you can get big naturally. both ways take a lot of work...sure, he's stronger..whoopty-fucking do - he's always been a great hitter. steroids have no effect on that.
his accuracy might have stayed the same, but what would be a base hit for old barry would be an automatic homer for new barry. its cuz he dosent even have to try to hit the ball hard. so it does affect his hitting
this says it all Oct. 5, 2001 -- Babe Ruth's single-season home-run record of 60 lasted 34 years. Roger Maris' mark of 61 stood for 37 seasons. When Mark McGwire set his record with 70 in 1998, it was expected the record would endure for at least three decades, probably much longer. Who knew that it would fall just three years later? With three games left in the 2001 season, Barry Bonds erased McGwire's mark from the record book. With the bases empty in the first inning, he belted No. 71, a 442-foot shot into the right-centerfield In the third inning, Bonds extended his record with another solo homer. No. 72, also off Park, cleared the wall in centerfield at the 404-foot mark. The sellout crowd of 41,730 jumped to its feet, chanting "Barry! Barry!" THERE CAN BE NO QUESTION THAT STEROIDS PLAYED A ROLE
who really gives a rats ass about baseball. its fucking football season. god get with the times. GO COLTS\RAMS
baseball sucks. dont wanna hit a god damn ball with a fuckin stick and then run around in a damn diamond
