last night i was laying in my bed ready to sleep. this past week i've been really wanting to do dmt(never having done any psycedelic). i was laying there with eyes closed and i imagined what the dmt trip would be like. it was weird, my body started going numb from my neck and then my arms, chest and down to my legs. my heartbeat went way up and i was taking deep full breaths. i couldn't take it anymore after 10sec and opened my eyes, then it fadded off. i tried again and the same thing happened although i was more calm and prepared but again i couldn't take it any more. also there where images im my mind of weird things, it seemed like i wasn't in control of my minds eye(not to be confused with the third eye) do i have shaman like abilities?
Dude, I think I know what you mean. Like, if you go to erowid, read an experiece report, and start meditating on that, you start to feel crazy... Its called awake astral travel. It kicks ass.
i would suggest you don't let that memory fade away, and work on developing your mind. all humans have the potential to develop their deeper mind, and shamans represent a small group of the people that attempt to live up to that potential. whatever you invest your attention/time/energy on will grow.......so maybe cut out the tv a bit if you wanna make any progress, ya know? anyways, good luck and effort, man.
Interesting. I'm not studied on this subject, but it kind of reminds me of how people have psychosomatic reactions to drugs, such as in the movie Awakening the Beast. Which, by the way, is a very groovy movie. Very interesting, though.
sweet. im busy this year with school and a job and i feel like it is too much distraction to meditate on this further. next summer i want to go into an isolation tank, and i'll probably do shrooms, then try acid and then maybe dmt. i'll definatly meditate more on the awake astral travel before i do psycedelics. man, tools music is just food for the spirit!
there's always a reason to put off meditating. if you don't do it NOW, you'll never do it, because that's all there is anyway. trust me, developing your mind will in no way distract you from anything important. if anything, it will aid you in whatever you choose to do. psychadelics aren't necessary, especially if you've had experiences without them already. anyways, your path is exactly that and i wish you the best of luck.
