    I saw Santana performing Soul Sacrifice on a video (I'm about 30 years too late for Woodstock '69) and I wished I could've been there to watch that part..

    Sha Na Na were billed, in part, as something to make people go "What the fuck?", and, partly, to make people laugh. Hendrix demanded to close the festival, which was too bad, as, by the time he played there were, barely, 30,000 people left there. Sha Na Na went on before him. Its been said that many people thought they'd timed their acid, wrong, for Hendrix's set, when these novelty dorks trotted out. Woodstock '69 trivia : who were the only two bands to get paid ? The Who and the Grateful Dead.
