i signed up for icmag a few days ago, and it still wont let me post or anything. first i wanted to send a pm, but it said i needed 50 posts first before i could use that function. then i wanted to post in one of the forums, and it said i couldnt and not to worry if i had not been registered for 24 hours yet. well, its been a couple of days and i still cant post. anyone who's familiar with this place perhaps know why i cant?
Maybe you have to post in the welcoming section. I hope you get access because it is a great site with tons and tons of information. It is where I spend most of my time but I dont have an account there because I dont have anything of value to post there to help the community.
You shouldn't have to post in the welcoming forum.....when i registered it only took not even 24hrs and i could post......but i still can't PM because as you said you need 50 posts and i usually don't post there, just lurk But i would maybe send them an email although most people don't get speedy responses from them. You might also want to check your junk-mail, alot of times it ends up there and not in your regular e-mail box. Hope you get it worked out. - 42o -

If they're having a problem with spammers (isn't everyone?), then they may manually check your account before letting you post in certain places. We have similar restrictions. Oh, btw, I created that site...
well nicely done, skip, its a good lookin site. anyway, i dont feel i have a whole lot to contribute, so i dont really need an active account, it would just be nice. but whatever, i havent even tried for a few days. i'm pretty pumped right now...got my light and ballast, just put in an app for a really nice new apartment (with both a very large walk-in closet and an extra bedroom from which i may choose for....tomato space...) looks like things will work out in the end
Well Nesta, we must have signed up at almost the same time for icmag, I also cannot post or anything and its been 3 days, and I even emailed them :-( I wanted to post a few things in the 150watt club, its a great resource if you got time to check them out.
i'm pretty bummed, i STILL can't post, and its been some time since i signed up. oh, well. theres plenty of info still there

Yeah like Skip said there have been a bunch of people spamming the boards with ads lately. Hoppefully you can get through soon bro, it's a good site.
Have you tried GardensCure.com?? I visit lots of sites and GC seems to be up there with the best sites of this nature. ICMAG seemed to catch a lot of Overgrows flame wars when it went down and I lost touch with the place.
