Shadow Of The Colossus This Game Is Just Beat-Off-Tastic I Mean What Other Game Has You Battle 16 Ginormous Creatures That Are At Least 50 Feet Tall Or Incredibly Fast Or Can Fly. Hmm? This Is The Intro In The Booklet: So You Bring Your Loved One To This Masive Temple Containing 16 Statues Of Each Colossus, Which You Must Defeat, And A Voice Guides You To Your First Colossus. The First One Isnt Exaclty Easy....But Compared To The Rest....Yes...Yes It Is. Each Colossus Has An "insignia" On Them That You Must Find And Stab. Doing This Several Times With Deplete Their Health Until They Finally Die Every Time you kill One The "Life Force" Of It Comes And I Guess Kills You....Little By Little. So Your Pretty Much Dying Every Time one Dies And You Get Transported Back To The Temple Where "The Guiding Voice" Where Tell You About the Next Colossus. Your HUD Consits Of A Health Bar, The Image Of Your Equiped Item And A Stamina Cirlce That Depletes When Your Climbing,Stabbing, Or Shooting With Your Bow. Dont Worry It's Big The Game Has Really Simple Controls Left Anolog Stick make You Run, And Walk [Although It Is Very Sensitive So You'll Be Running Most Of The Time Your On Foot] And Swim Too Triangle Is To Jump, The Longer Pressed The Higher Or Farther You Jump When You Jump Towards A Ledge You Can Press R1 To Grab It And LA [Left Analog] Controls Climbing Direction. Press Triangle To Jump Up To Get To A Higher Ledge Or To Pull Yourself Up Call Your Horse, Agro, With X And Mount With Traingle. If Your In A Hurry Jump Towards Agro And Press R1 To Grab Him And Mount. Press X Again To Go Faster [Walk,Jog,Sprint]. Pull back On LA To Slow Down. Pressing R1 Make You Duck, Yet Pressing R1 And LA Up Makes You Stand. While On Agro You Can Equip Your Bow Anf Shoot Thing And Yes You Can Also Shoot Your Bow While Standing. Surprising, The Hero Doesnt Need Hands To Ride. RA[Right Analog] Controls the Camera. But It Does Such A Lovely Job On Its Own That You'll Hardly Touch It. Your Equipment Only Consist Of Your Bow And your Sword; D-Pad Left Or Right To Choose. When Your Bow Is Equiped Press And hold Square To Pull Back And Let Go When You Want To Fire [The Longer Pressed The Stronger your Shot] You Can Also Press L1 To View The Colossus And Aim For His Head With Your Sword Press Square To Attack Or Circle To Gather Sunlight To And LA To Aim And Focus The Guiding Light [This Will Show You Where the Colossus Is. The More Focused It Is the Closer You Are In Finding Where It Is] You Can Also Do This Riding Agro. While Climbing A Colossus Press Square To Prepare To Stab And Hold, Let Go To Stab [The Longer You Hold The Stronger Your Attack] Some Other Things I've Picked Up Along The Way: -Pressing Circle With nothing Equiped While Next To Agro Will Pet Him [this Works Mounted To] -When Staionary On Agro Quickly Press X And Tilt LA Down To Rear Him Into A Gallop [This Helps When Your Runnig From A Colossus] -Agro Will Steer Away From Ledges And Walls -When Your On A Ledge And Your Guy Stumbles Of...Press R1 To Grab the Ledge -Pressing L1 And Traingle In Any Direction Will Make you Dodge Roll Now With ALL That Said The Game As Simply Beautifull And Visually Stunning Graphics. The Water Looks Amazing, The Sky Is unbelieveable And the Sunlight Cast The Perfect Effect That Is Impossible To Describe the Colossi Are Wonderfully Thought Out With Each One Needing A Certain Way Of Deafeting It. The Land Itself Is Vast And Extravagent. From Deserts To Forests To Lakes. Gameplay All Around Immeadiatley Draws In The Player From The Very First Colossus You Take Down. It Give You Sense Of Overcoming, Otherwise, Impossible Scenarios The Colossi Get Harder And Need More Thought On How To Destroy Them. While Some Only Need To Be Climbed And Stabed, Other Must Be Knocked Over On Their Backs And Stabed. Their Really Is Only One Way To Deafeat Them But Its Necessarily Impossible To Figure Out The "Guiding Voice" Will Help You If Your not Doing Something Right By Saying Things Like: "You Must Climb The Pillar...Then Draw Its Anger..." Obviously You Need To Climb the Pillar And Go From Their. You Will Spend A Considerably Amount Of Time Looking For The Colossi Espcailly When You Get To The Harder Ones. But Alas You Will be Happy With This Because Along The Way You Will Find Save Alters And Fruit Trees That Have Fruit That Upgrade Or Heal You [I havent Figured Out Which It Is] And White Salamanders Upgrade Your Stamina [Kill Em With Your Bow.....Get To Close And they Run....Fast] Press Circle To Pick Up Fruit And Salamander Hide Damn This Is SUCH A Good Game I Mean You Have To Actaully Play Get The Full Effect. Its A Wonderful Game That Has Immense Replay Value.....In The Game! You Can Go Back To The Corpse Of An Already Defeated Colossus, Press Circle To Enter Reminesse[?] Mode. In This Mode The Screen Turns A Sepia Tone Old Movie Color. Here You Can Deafeat The Coossus Again....And Again. I Mean If you Just Defeated A Boss That Took You Loads Of Time And Wanna Show Your Friends How Big And Hard It Was, Enter Reminesse Mode And Show Em! Omg.....This Game Is Almost Impossible To Describe....Well Not Impossible I'm Talking About The Feeling Of Playing The Game That Has No Flaws What So Ever No Camera Flaws No Stupid Henchmen To Kill You While Fighting The Boss No Henchmen At All! No Stupid gathering Quests No Helping Villagers That Need Their Farm Watered...SCREW THEM! No Red Or Blue Or Yellow Key Needed To Open Doors No Doors At ALL! No Friggin Mini-Bosses That Think They're The Shit No Party To Worry About Whose Gonna Die and Whether Or Not You Need A Healer No Spells Or Trinkets Or Armor Needed No Upgrade System.....Your Strong As F**k No Wave After Wave After Wave Of Stupid Bug Or Critters To Attacks You No Going Back and Forth Between Cities To Talk To This Guy And back For The Other Guy No Frigin Need To Take Down The Bosses Shield And then Attack And take Shield Downd Again And then Attack And then Take Down The........F**K that OMG Why Is This Game So F**Kin Awsome God I Just Wanna Kill EVERYTHING!!
