I am almost certain im going to dread my hair. My friend had his and he wants them again so he is going to help me and do his again as well. I want to put alot of beads, how do you do it? when you are first dreading and backcombing them? Also what is a good residue free shampoo to use? Thanks, Jessi

Search for Dr. Bronners Tea Tree shampoo OR, the stuff i use, Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo. The tea tree shampoos help the itchies.

i use dreadhead HQ shampoo. but i hear good thing about Dr. Bronners soaps. as for beads, you just slip them on the dread after your done backcombing. don't use wax

i like dr. bronner's better. i find a lot of my dreads fall apart after using the dreadhead HQ stuff. be careful when putting in beads, sometimes it can hinder the dread from dreading right. i think dreads might be better to put on a little into the locking process. i find sleeves work best on my hair personally.

dr. bronners is good..... if you cant find tea tree stuff just get the baby soap and add your own tea tree to head :) i like the peppermint dr. bronners also it makes your scalp feel so clean
