Alright, Four days ago did my liquid culture thing, I see signs of it growing (little snow flakes floatin in the water, cloud), Everything looks fine, just wondering when you can use it to inoculate? And how do you know when its ready to be used?
You can use it at any point once it starts to colonize. Basically, if you can suck it up with a syringe, then it is usable. You might want to let it grow a little more if you want to use a lot. It will grow into blobs that look like billowy clouds if you let it keep growing without doing something to break it apart.
Ah, Well I've been shaking it up 1-2 a day. It looks very similar to this: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/files/07-001/822025708-CIMG0543.jpg I'll get a picture of mine in a bit
Alright, I went to shroomery to get a second opinion and someone said oddly its contaminted. I asked why and he said it was brown but I compared the look to this picture: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/files/07-001/822025708-CIMG0543.jpg And thats said to be healthy. And the color is the same. (view my pictures of my LC in the above post)
It is hard to tell with LC until you use it. Some of the brownish flakes of shit are probably sugars that caramelized when the honey was heated. I don't think it looks contaminated, but I could be wrong.
Yeah, Some people on shroomery agreed that they've seen move worse looking LC that has worked. I think i'm going to test it out on something.
