a bunch of us walked through the woods today in search of a tibetan monastery that is suposedly back there someplace. After a long and interesting walk, we finally stumble upon prayer flags and then yes - the monastary! a bearded man beckoned us over to him and he talked with us for awhile. he wore a hemp necklace and was barefoot. He seemed very wise and wanted to know a lot about us. I thought, "yes!", this is awesome, someone who can give me some valuable advice. But then he started asking us when we were born and rattling off about astrology. I can't take anyone seriously who believes in astrology and to me it totally discredited him. Can someone here explain to me why I should believe that anything about your personality can be determined from when your parents decided to fuck. Or that alignments of planets (relative to earth, an arbitrary point in space) and constellations (totally made up order to random groupings of stars) can mean anything at all? To me, someone who believes in this has a very bad Bullshit detector and you can't really put too much faith in much ele they say. But maybe i'm wrong. what do you say?
I don't believe in it - but thats my opinion and i guess if someone believed it I wouldn't think less of them, just different. I read this article in a mag that was against Astrology and said that we're not really the star signs everyone says we are. Since the planets have moved about so at the beggining people born in March/April were Aries whereas nowadays they'd be Pices or somink.
i have many personality traits that seem to be an exact fit for the typical sagitarius...coincidence i dont know because i am certainly nothing like my parents, but i dont believe in the daily horiscopes. thats got to be bullshizer
