#! im not a religion, rean the bible who did jesus always argue with in the temple? the religious people. people who took scripture and tried to make theyre own religion out of it, like all the crazy fanatic chritians around today, i belive the bible and i belive in jesus, the church i go to religious people call word of faith but we dont call our selves anything,i became a christain the same way i started drinkin or smoking or anything, i had an open mind and tried it, it worked for me and now i believe it, i dont try to force my beliefs on anyone but i want to ask me something go ahead.

most definitley a lot of people take on religions for some
sort of status definition.
I should know, I was one of them a few years ago and Im
not afraid to admit this.

FOR THE LAST BLOODY TIME (excuse my languege) YOU CANT PROVE GOD!!!! God depends on faith not on seeing him or using scientific methods to find him. And you can ask "OH BUT where did God come from" because the frase "Come from" is a matter bound (law of the is universe) law. For something to have a beginning and an end it has to actually exist in this universe we live in. GOd doesnt becuse he created it so God doesnt get applied to this law because he created the universe including the laws that are in it, including that law 'Everything must have a beginnig and an end'. Get it; didnt come from anywhere because he made that law up.

For example; The man who made monopoly board game doesnt have to be moved around by a giant on a dise role and is not made of metal....GET IT NOW ATHEIST ....oh goodness they just never get it.

In conclution YOU CANT PROVE GOD. YOU HAVE TO HAVE FAITH HE EXISISTS, once you have that you dont need proof.

 

So you want to talk to a christian, well I'm one of those. What do you want to know? Keep in mind however I'm not like a bible scholar, so I may not be able to answer every question, but I'll do the best I can.

 

Excuse me. I am sure I mentioned in this thread that I am not here to debate or to be angry or anything in that sort. I am at a point in my life, where I am not in a religion and I have questions about some so I can just have answers. I am not EVEN being defensive towards Christians AT ALL. And I never have said that i am an athiest!!!!!!! oh goodness, they just never get it., that I cant have "faith" and that I want Scientific proof????? yes. If the bible shows that its incorrect, and all these years, all of these religions, all of these people who believed in SOOOO many things, you have "faith" in what you BELIEVE. Do you even know the REAL stories about the biblical times? Today we have the technology to be able to go into the history. Why do you bash athiests? and why do you call me one? ALL I asked was that I wanted to talk to a christian because i had some questions, for my own spiritual reasons. You prove to me with your words that you are not truly of the christian religion. U can reply to my response or not, but I already found someone who actually READS what i have to say, and ANSWERS my questions, and accepts me. NOT judges me just becuase i want to know more about the christianity religion! Call yourself a christian if you want, but I doubt your beliefs. Only becuase if you truly were one, you would not of gotten mad and called me an athiest, with out even KNOWING what i believe in completely. And you would have brought in what I had to say and my questions, accepted them. and Then replied nicely the answers I seek. Thankyou so much for showing me how the "sheep" act. You actually helped me alot on understanding the other side of christianity, the ppl that are fakes that rely only on faith. I can have faith that i can fly, that doesnt mean i can. but i can surely believe in it so much that I could talk you down becuase you cant. because I believe I can so much. People have scientificaly proven that you can actually BELIEVE that you are bleeding to death, because someone has blind folded you and dripping simply water off of you and that person that thought that they were,. died. i didnt get into chritianity because of peer pressure, or to be cool, i have had it shoved down my throught all my life, so one day i decided to see if it was real, and it is, i know god is real, i feel him,talk to him everyday, when i open my bible it isnt a buch of stories to me, its good advice and sometimes it blows me away cause its like it was written an hour ago when something happened, but ghost lyric if u want to ask me questions pm me, so we dont have 20 posts from chritian bashers in between posts

is the divine essence of where your going incarnated as a human.

And the last part is to be in contact with this divine essence of interconnection on a daily basis. So you don't Lose touch with it.

 

You make some good arguments, Based on my faith (mixture of science meditation, prayer and events that come from it), I have no problem believeing Jesus walked on water, therefor, if he not the son of God, tell me who is... or who flew under my radar

Next, all that I am is a result of my thoughts and emotions. Therefor if they are Adhered, that is to say RIVETED, AND GLUED to the divine essence of the universe (JC) I ALWAYS GET AN ANWSER TO WHAT IT IS I AM THINKING, FEELING AND PRAYING, not at the exact momment, sometimes you have to wait, but it comes eventually no exceptions. And yeah sometimes what I want isn't in the cards for me... big deal, you can't have it all... Like the saying goes "silly rabbit trix are for kids".

Moving things with you mind... see thats the part that kinda baffles even me, YOU cannot do it. You would have to be god, but if you want the object to move without touching it. If you really really do, I don't know where this fits into gods will for you, or your will for you, or any kind of will for that matter. But if you really wish it so, well technically, your wish is his command, just pray for it, if moving a pepsi can from point a to point b does not viloate your purpose here on earth, which i highly doubt, then you will be surprised to see it be transported by someone, or a wind moving it, or who knows... But the bottom line is it WILL MOVE.

An in response to just general statements you made, I am 23, I go to church, I believe in god, and that Jesus is the mystic Christ, the essence of all that is and present in everything, And I can also say all this and tell you I say it with having barely ever touched a bible. Its nice reference, to learn a thing or two... But if you wanna catch a glimpse of your God, he's all around you in everything not just a book.

I believe that Jesus Christ die for our sins. Now, That is the standard answer, but my reason is because I have seen evidence in my life that Christianity is for me. Through my faith, prayer , and trust I have achived get thing that I know I could not have done on my own. I just finished graduate school, there is no way I could have gotten into graduate school with the grades and the score on my GRE that I had without GOD. As I said before I'm not a bible scholar, and I still don't understand certain scriptures and why something have occurred, but I don't run away just because it's not all clear to me, I just wait and continue to live knowing that all things work for the good of those who love GOD. So, that is why I feel I'm a christian.

I don't have all the answers to your questions, but maybe I have something that might help you find some answers.

I've been reading for a few years now that scientists are doing studies about whether or not prayer works. They've had Believers pray for hospitalized people, to see whether or not prayer improves the hospitalized people's health, and from what I've read, the people did indeed improve. The scientists also included hospitalized people who weren't told they were being prayed for. and they improved as well.

I wish I knew who these scientist were who were researching this, and I wish I could tell you how long ago they conducted this and if they were continuing this study. Sorry!

I am not christian. there are a few points i had a problem with in this thread but i can't remember what so oh well.

um... Apparently Christianity has been proved fake, - the church has used it so many times to control and use people that its not the real thing anymore. That does not mean i hate Jesus and christians etc etc heck most of my RE class is christian (Im Hindu) so nothing personal i just don't trust the Bible. Thats not to say its JUST utter nonsense either.

Jesus was a good man (my opinion) i think the church used him for power, he was a just man who tried to help. I don't think people should bash Jesus. And there is proof he was alive as he was talked about and they wrote about him etc

Notice - i said he was a good MAN not god. not son of god etc. i think he was a man.

Ok let's get technical.

1. His followers didn't hang the dead guy on the stick, the romans did according to laws, laws that were not even of the state. If you wanna get really nit picky, it was the Jews who wanted him hung.

NOW, that being said i'm not saying this to bash jews, I am mearly stating the crucifixion does not make a "statement" about any specific religion, more so then the barabaric nature of MAN @ that time in History.

2. Chirst never intended for his body to be literally eaten, and his blood to be literally drank. That is absolutly ridiculous. And you are right canabalistic. The purpose of that ritual is simply acknolegde transubstanation... I know I did not spell that right... (bite me). HAHAHAHA! j/k!

Now I for one have actually been reavealed how transubstination works, over a period of 4 months. Acutually, funny that you mention it's actually one of the only things I have been revealed so that I can believe. But Meh, spirituality is an indivisual path i understand that now... Meh.

Either way, back to my point, the point of the ritual is not canabalistic it's to realize that there is a VERY real invisible link between the real and spiritual world. And by eating this "bread" which is infused with the "BODY" and by body we are not talking HUMAN BODY, we are talking spritual body... something that if I was to even start to explain here it would be a novel... but yah... spiritual body. and same for the blood, it becomes infused with a spritual entity as well.

3. It's not necessarily in HONOR of GOD. Some look at with great humility and so forth, ... I think the word says it all COMMUNION. and it's not to be taken literally damn it. ITS ALL SPIRITUAL.

See the whole bloody gospel hinges on one line... the one he said to thomas... cant quote here. You all know it.

If he said you have to believe without having seen. Think about it. He lays down the gauntlet with that. He says it right there in plain english that everyting happening in the world that we can see, is running directly in parralell with somethings we just cannot.

and sorry to the "FUNDAMENTALISTS" but that also tells me that alot of this REALLY should not be taken LITERALLY. at any cost.
