This is a movie w/ a buncha British actors/actresses in it...it is, in fact, centered around GB...but anyways! Out of curiousity, I bought it...and I think that it could be very close to true life, and it freaked me out. But it is an oh-so-good movie. SO...anyone else seen it, or do I hold the pleasure to myself?
Are you kidding!? That movie was ten times better than resident evil! The best scene was with the crow eating the guy's dead body and dropping blood in that guy's eye! You know they're making a 28 Weeks Later.
This is a class zombie movie..By the way its a British starred/produced/written & directed movie..have you seen the alternative ending? Not as good as the original but a nice little twist? Another British zombie movie I recommend is "Shaun of the Dead" its a ZomRomCom (Zombie Romantic Comedy) and its f*****g hilarious Jon..
A 28 Weeks Later??! That is so awesome...I'll be looking forward to that. This isn't your typical zombie movie...this actually had a twinge of could-be truth to it that made it freakin' GREAT. No other zombie movie I have seen is quite like this one, including Resident Evil! Anyways though...someone let me know when that 28 Weeks Later comes out! (P.S. I did see the alternate ending...can't remember it, though. I have the movie on DVD so I can always just go check it out. Couldn't have been too good if I can't remember it, eh? )
i really dint like it....i thought the idea was good....but that was about it really....really bad effects, poor acting....but thats me....argh you're all fans and are gunna hate me..... :&
actually, the film's infection of "rage" was meant to mean aids, and about how it spread so quickly, and how quickly, and where it is. I heard that somewhere and sounded pretty good at the time. Go here! http://movies.go.com/hot/2004/6/hotoffthepresses062804.html 28 weeks later thing. -TEC
LoL... Sweetie, its okay that you didn't like it. I just happen to adore it...and apparently a few other people do to, but that doesn't make you a leper - we all gots different opinions. I think that the effects and the acting were more true to life than other movies...not like a set dialogue and things like that. But hey, like I said, we all have our own opinions! (And thanks for the link, TEC!)
lol.. There for a while, I was too. But after I caught on, I believe thats the only time I ever heard myself say, "Stupid damn animal-rights activists! See what you did?!!?"
Did you know that 28 days later was supposed to be 29 days later in USA? They wanted to make it longer for the US release. 29 Days Later (2003) (USA) (longer version)
i LOVED 28 days later i cant wait to see 28 weeks later...i also liked the part where the crow dropped blood in the guys eye...i didnt however like the part where the guys where trying to screw that girl well rape her
LOL! Yeah we make films in this country too! We even make good ones. 28 Days Later is one of my favourite films of the past couple of years, up there with Donnie Darko. It's by the director of Trainspotting (Danny Boyle) and written by the author of The Beach (Alex Garland). It's an amazing film, a zombie film with some intelligence and humour, a film of ideas not just action. Instant classic.
i really quite like this film even if it reminded me oh soo much of Demons. but it really gets on my tit's when its refferd to as a zombie movie. it aint, they aint dead, there infected dammit.
I really like this movie too. It's scary..! And I love to be scared. They actually speak Finnish in the end... You know, when the airplane comes and rescues them. The pilots are Finnish. Yay!
THERE YA GO! You put it into words I could obviously not... they aren't really zombies at all, they're infected! lol.. I gotta watch that today. Starting this thread has made me wanna see it and I haven't been able to have a sit and take time out at all this week. Yay for the weekend, and yay for movies! Anyone care to recommend some other horror movies that are similar to 28 Days Later? I'd really appreciate it!
Defenatly my favorite marketed film of the last couple of years. Boyle is a bloody genious when it comes to directing. I loved Trainspotting, and truly was not disappointed by this film. The DVD is also worth it for all the deleted scenes and extra endings. Best zombie movie I've ever seen.
I saw it awhile ago, once, and I liked it. I think it needs to be watched more than once, though... It kind of reminded me of The Stand, what with the sickness thing and all.
