    Hey ya'll,

I've recently heard rumors of an upcoming regional gathering in Maine, later this month. Are these rumors true? If so, where and when is the gathering happening? Would anyone be willing to give me a ride there from the Greyhound or Amtrak (I'd be happy to help pay for gas)?

    Peace out,

Just got back from the gathering in Stoneham, ME. A small but high-quality group - very peaceful. The closest I saw to Agro energy were 2 rambunctious 4-year-olds. About 20-30 people with more coming in every day. Expect a lot more over Labor Day weekend.

The site is beautiful, but if you follow the directions above - ignore the part about the orange barrel and two-tiered meadow - just stay on Hut Road to the very end.

i went to the west forks site for a few days, then everyone there went to join the rest of the gathering in the national forest outside stoneham.
bear neccesities moved from west forks to the national forest a few days ago.
another kitchen's gonna be here when they get here. (sometime soon)
    come on out.

The rumor in the Allegheny NF was that this ME regional is on timber company land. If so, how's that working out?

It was originally to be on timber company land near West Forks, and no problems were anticipated, but for unrelated reasons we ended up in the White Mountain National Forest near Bethel.
