Well, I meant that they defend it because it happens that anime comes from there. Most of these people would defend Iraq if Evangelion was made there.... I placed the who killed who thing because a lot of them talk badly about Germany and Hitler and all that. Overall, they think Japan is a wonderland and everything.
Otaku in Japan means "obsessed" (Inu otaku = obsessed with dogs) In America, it means someone who likes anime. Most Wapanese, however, don't know about the dark history behind the word.
