    Collective anarcho-capitalism?

This intriguing idea was put forward by evsride and I thought was worth examination in its own thread.

    Here is evsride’s description

    - “I would consider myself an anarcho capitalist in that I don't agree with strict government control, but I do believe that capitalism to a certain degree can work, as long as those who are more able and adept at surviving in a truly free market make sure to take care of those who dont share those same abilities. Also the portions of the pie shared by everyone must remain reasonable, so perhaps what I am describing is not capitalism but I hope that explains somewhat (i.e...top 85% of the wealth in the hands of small number of people is categorically wrong on many levels) . Otherwise I would err on the side of a more collective society, but championing the achievements of someone like Stalin or Lenin as great contributions to society does no more good than praising the goodness of actions taken by the likes of Bush (Iraq) or Reagan (arms deals with totalitarians, etc...) in the pursuit of dirty economic policies meant to fatten the wallets of few.”

The thing is that the two components seem to contradict each other as far as I know Anarcho-capitalists ideas are based on free-market capitalism and are therefore would seem opposed to collective ideas.

It seems to create contradictions; I mean how in a ‘truly free market’ do you impose a ‘reasonable’ distribution of wealth and do it without a government?

I personally see anarcho-capitalism as a complete dead end as an idea, nearly impossible to bring about and dangerous if it was.

To make it anyway fair would mean the enforced distribution of wealth on a scale not even dreamed of by the most fanatical communist since without that distribution it would just mean giving so much wealth and power to the already wealthy and powerful that it would be the de facto setting up of an oligarchy (even more entrenched than the one in place at the moment).

But the thing is that without constant tinkering, controls and regulation that is what would happen even if the distribution took place, it would just take longer.

evsride rightly rejects enforced collectivism but I’m unsure what he means by a ‘collective society’, is he talking of democratic government? The collective will demonstrated at the ballot box?

But maybe he just means one or the other – truly free market or a collective? But that just raises a number of other questions.

LOOK AT WHO AND WHAT YOU ARE QUOTING NEXT TIME!!

I never said ANY of that! That's because you are quoting another poster, you fool! Go back and look at who posted that. It wasn't me!

How can ANYONE take you seriously when you cannot even quote the right person?

For your information, I am not an "anarcho-capitalist" (whatever the hell that is), and I would never pin such a RIDICULOUS and LAUGHABLE label on myself. I am not a capitalist any more than I am a socialist or a communist, because unlike you, I understand how the system works.

The money system is a FRAUD. Period.

Capitalism, anarchism, communism and socialism are all part of the same system, and were given from the top. Anyone who would blindly embrace any of these silly labels really doesn't have a clue. I don't care what side of the BOGUS Left/Right debate they are on.

Now please edit your thread accordingly, instead of quoting me as saying something I never said. You really make yourself look bad when you quote people as saying things they never said, and in this case, I wouldn't be surprised if you intentionally misdirected that quote at me. I know how you operate, pal! I'm not stupid!

My dear Rat, I’m so sorry but it was just a mistake, they do happen, so there really is no need to be abusive. I’ve made mistakes before and I’m sure I will do again. The thing is you only have to point them out and I’ll apologise, that’s it.

So I’ve edited the incorrect post accordingly.

    Rat

The thing is that you have espoused right wing libertarian views (and at one time claimed to be a libertarian) and many of those with libertarian views call themselves ‘anarcho-capitalists’ so I just thought you had come out, so to speak rather than hiding behind all that third way stuff you were talking about last time I’d read your posts.

Thank you for putting me straight.

So I ask the same questions you never seem to answer last time our paths crossed – what is this third way that is supposedly neither of the right or left.

I mean you have only ever seemed to support extreme right wing views (I mean I believe you think the Republicans are too left wing) and you are most consistent in attacking left wing thought.

So what is this third way?

How would it work what things would it aspire to?

    **

As to understanding how the system works don’t you believe that the world is being taken over by Satan worshipers or something? That this worldwide conspiracy has been going on for generations and is behind…well just about every major event in history?
