Cool Hand Luke (great prison movie with an unforgettable Paul Newman) City of God (gripping brazillian movie about life in the slums) Hotel Rwanda (great acting, a tragic reminder of our generation's apathy to genocide) Casino (gangster epic, better than goodfellas) My Left Foot (true story about a disabled Dubliner, with Danial Day Lewis, amazing) In the Name of the Father (a good look at how justice works during terrorism)
