What movies do you *wish* you had walked out on?

Mine would be "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones." I never dreamed I could have so much murderous hatred for a movie. I have never, never seen worse acting or a stupider plot in my life. Ever. Yes, I think it's easily as despicable as "Battlefield Earth."

 

WHere to start- I fell asleep at the First Lord Of The Rings
Me and my g/f rented pooty tang or whatever the fuck its called and watched five minutes of it... and thought it was dumbest shit ever so we turned it off
And i should have turned off the movie "house of 1000 corpses"

 

I rented House of a 1000 Corpses simply because Rob Zombie directed it and I wanted to see what he could do. I ended up watching the whole thing, but I wish I would've turned it off, it just wasn't any good.


There seems to be some hatred for The Lord of the Rings. Personally I loved all 3 (the ending to Return of the King did get kinda boring though). I might be pretty biased though considering I loved the books. Oh well, to each his own.

I'm embarassed to say I was dragged along to Along Came Polly. So NOT my choice.. I was with 2 guys who wanted to drool over Jennifer Aniston. Even they had to admit it was pretty bad... And anything with Jim Carrey in it - don't know what it is about him but he makes my skin crawl..

 

I got away from The Patriot, oh my god!! the beginning is ok, but all the American patriotism shit... oh, and i remember when i saw Pearl Harbor with three friends, pfffff, just from the beginning, I remember we laughed our asses off after the first phrase o nthe movie: "America land of freedom, home of brave" LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL in that moment i didn't know that they are just some phrases on the anthem, so you can imagine our laughing.

And of course i was deeply hurt by The two towers and the return of the king. The fellowship was great, but the fucking stupid only valid for gore cinema director fuced it up.

Fell asleep during LOTR? That's just sad. Peter Jackson did a fantastic job with a series of books that most considered "undoable" as a film. Of course they couldn't duplicate the book completely. Do you want to sit through a 16 hour movie? The Council of Elrond scene ALONE would be over 3 hours. THEN you would fall asleep.

We rented The Matrix and I walked out of the room after about 3 minutes. Life is too short for pretentious bullshit like this movie.

 

I agree Maggie, LOTR was great, all of them, and the Matrix was horrible. I seriously hated that movie.

Right ON, Seamonster. I think you have to be THINKING to enjoy LOTR movies. It helps to be aware of the books, too, but not neccesary. Tolkein is VERY hard to bring to the screen, and I think Jackson did a fanstastic job. I have seen these movies numerous times, and am facinated by how the things were done, as well as the story of the Ring and Middle Earth.

In fantasy and SciFi, you have to be really good to avoid pretentiousness, or just sillinesss, and I think Jackson did an amazing job. I think it is sad that Tolkien isn't still around to have seen it. (I think he would be over 100, though.)

The yoda fight scene in SW2 was over the top of shittyness for me.

 

I know each to their own in movie tastes, but LOTR is an epic in movie making, so it deserves an audience, and there has been no movie ever made that has stuck straight to the book, not even To Kill a Mockingbird
