why rap sucks

As i said in my other post, does music have to be hard to do, to be good?
No, not really.. And what about the rap/hip-hop haters? their reason is "uuh.. they just sing about pimps n hoes and everyone can do it"..
At least hiphopers doesn't say that they can make metal^^

Why should you listen to mainstream?.. If there's one serious band in one whole genre, you can't blame the whole genre of being bad..
And finally, there's alot of love in metal too

some rap is ok though. 2pac is bearable and dmx gets me hype, but anything thats on the radio is trash.

But I can't stand how people that listen to metal bash rap because they deem whatever shit metal band they listen to to be "technical"(and it's always the word technical) and they think that it transcends all genres, especially rap. There is good metal and shitty metal. There is good rap and shitty rap. There is good bebop,bluegrass,jazz,avant-garde,techno,sound,classical,rock,country,indie,flamenco,spiritual,tribal and there is bad.....you get it.

its ironic how all the rap bashings go down in the metal forums, most metal is just as shitty and easy to make (excluding primus, tool, steve vai and some other good stuff) most new metal bands dont know any theory and just throw a banch of randomly placed drop-d power chords together scream over it with a constant 16th note double bass kick and so many crash cymbals you cant hear whats going on through all the dissonence. joey jordinson is seriously the most overrated drummer he fuckin sucks

im not a fan of most rap, the only rap i listen to is the beastie boys. ive made some cool rap songs with my friends before, we get some funky drum beats and beat box and flow over it, i know some kids that are hella good at it and can flow forever about the most random funny shit. its way fun to play when your not serious about it

why would you people complain about rap talking about sex, drugs, and violence?
what music do you listen to? rock was all about sex and drugs.. violence, well, if you're a fan of metal, then i think you'd be quite acquainted with that by now..

honestly it's a different style of music, many artists don't even stick to those topics, and especially not in the way you guys just tend to assume they do.. how about actually listening to some hip-hop before you go and diss the whole genre ignorantly.

 

I hate rap because it's all I see now on Much Music, one time I was watching Much On Demand, they play rap all the time, but when one guy was asked what video he wanted to see, he said Duality (Slipknot) and he was denied. Give us a break...

 

I don't listen to rap and I don't really like it. It's just not a style of music I want to listen to.
But this thread is pretty stupid. If you don't like rap, okay, but some people do so let them listen to what they want.
You'd hate it if someone made a thread like this about your kind of music. So why make one about someone else's?

 

ok yeah i posted this same thread in the hip hop forum, maybe you should look around before you make false statements. and this thread isnt about why some metal sucks, its about why rap sucks. why is rap even considered music? why is it so mainstreamed with all the look at all my ho's, look at all my cars, my bling, my cash, my diamonds. fuck that shit. its just some beat someone else made that is incredible simple and requires no talent to make, then get some asshole to say some dumb shit over and over and now its the best thing since sliced bread.

other real artists that play hip hop and have some talent that actually make music is cool. this is about rap.

and to respond to an earlier post, i wouldnt really give a shit if someone made a thread saying metal sucked. yeah alot of it does, but there is some really talented musicians out there.

It's funny cuz alot of black guys iv talked to that listened to lots of rap, I asked them if they listened to any rock music and they all respond similar to this response : "nah its a bunch of crazy white people screaming, cant even understand it" And this is just saying rock music in general.

I just dont really care anymore about who listens to what or who likes what. If I like it, thats all that matters. It shouldn't matter if anyone else likes what you listen to, or you have to listen to what everyone else likes. Be your ownself and listen to what you want regardless of what others say. :guitar: :rockon:

 

making fun of music is bullshit, i bet you wouldnt want rap fans to say your bands suck. the only bands that should be made fun of are emo music and boy bands.
