Hey I was just wondering what the long and short term effects of acid are. I haven't noticed anything yet, but i haven't done it that much. Appart from flashbacks is there anything i should be careful about?
acid is profound. for me and my friends it changes things and decisions in life even months after taking it. like taking a new direction.
I think it totally depends on the person. Some people get HPPD really easily, others don't. Some people change their entire world views drastically due to the perceptions LSD reveals, others blow it off completely as simply a fun (or not so fun) diversion. My life has changed a lot since I started smoking weed and tripping. However, I think that a lot of the supposed truths and new perceptions I have discovered have actually come from me - the drugs have just given me the excuse to express what I truly believe deep within my mind, heart and soul. I know a guy who has done a thumbprint but embodies almost none of the ideals acid should teach someone. I know other people who have only tripped a couple of times and are incredibly open-minded, thanks in part to LSD. It really depends on you, and how you approach it. LSD is a mirror, and it is a door, but it takes opening one's eyes to see the mirror, and it takes reaching out and turning the knob to go through the door.
The only way to watch out for acid flashbacks is to stop taking acid, it's very simple, you could catch them from any trip good or bad, do you really want to have to go through the anguish of a flashback? quit acid before it's too late and you end up in a padded room with a fat case of LSD psycosis. HPPD really sucks, I got it from the mushrooms with a lotta help from the lucey. I dont really get the stereotypical flashbacks, apart from the ever present hppd visuals I dont get much else, except the rare occassion. Mostly just really painful depersonalizing and derealizing mind fuck's that often kill my entire day.
