could i pull off having dreads?

    not good. i brushed out everything i showered and hopefully soon im getting someone to help me out. i met a girl who has dreads that lives 30 minutes away and she told me she would help i just don't know when...

    right on. part of what's cool about dreads is that they have a mind of their own. people talk so much about how to make them perfect and stuff. people have asked me before, "why don't you just get them professionally done?" and like, ugh! i don't want to have them all perfect-looking. i like the idea of some of them being fatter than others and the hair sectioned off randomly. i've seen "perfect" dreads before (of course, on a black person, i don't think my hair could ever look like that no matter how hard i tried....), and i didn't like them.
