we all know laws are different in every place.. like in the state where i live (CT) weed is consider ilegal even for a gram u can get in trouble , in a scale from 1 to 5 being 1:-very ilegal- and and 5: -posetion allowed- CT: 1.5 i would say how about you state??
in Australia in the ACT u can have 26g on u and not face charges tho it may be taken away, also you can have to 2 plants with out getting charged tho if they find them they will take them.
I live in NY and the laws here are mad chill. Getting caught with any amount UNDER an oz. is nothing really. Its a civil citation (basically the equivalent of a parking ticket) and possibly a fine of up to 100$. This holds true until your third offence, when it becomes a criminal activity and could land you in jail or with a hefty fine. Getting caught with a resinated piece is far worse than being caught with actual bud in NY. Thats why I always make sure to leave my bowls at home when making runs to/from the bag-store.
Possession: Any amount (first offense) misdemeanor,30 days/$500 fine,(subsequent offense) misdemeanor 1 year $2,500 Sale:5 lbs to 100 kg-felony: 5 - 30 years and $2,500 fine.
In my state 3 oz. is a misdemeanor, that is alot, that is enough to last me like a week, I m glad you brought this up Buddhisha! And thanks for the link swazo!
The drug policy of the Netherlands is based on 2 principles: 1. Drug use is a public health issue, not a criminal matter 2. A distinction between hard drugs and soft drugs exists The Dutch drug policy is based on the general principle of self-determination in matters of the body. Specifically, that it is not illegal to hurt yourself; however, you remain liable for the consequences of your actions. Because of this, users are not prosecuted for possession of small quantities of soft drugs ("for personal use"). In later years, the Netherlands have seen an increasing number of people seeking voluntary help for their problems with cannabis use, +43% from 2001 to 2005.[2] Driving under the influence of drugs is prohibited, as is being under the influence of drugs or alcohol in a public place. So-called coffee shops are allowed to sell soft drugs openly to customers above 18 years[3], and to keep supplies greater than the amounts allowed by law for personal use, though they are only allowed to sell individual customers the amount allowed for personal use.
