So this summer I've eaten way to much fast food. It jsut to easy to go and get a burger to eat. It's instant gratification. The problem isnt that I eat to much, if any thing I don't eat enough. I;m jsut sick of fast food. It's shit food and makes me fell ill all together after having so much of it. So what are some easy meals I can use to replace fast food but still get enough callories?
Fast food gives you way more than the calories you should have in a meal. Personally, when something makes me feel like shit after I eat it I realize its not good for my body and I stop eating it. Shouldn't that be enough to make you stop??You can eat umm a sandwich instead.. or anything else. Go to subway or something! Or quiznos? Fast food will clog your arteries and totally raises your chances of heart disease, and its just gross. They don't make the food with care at all, nor the meat, there's shit in the meat apparently... I mean there's a whole list of reasons!
I know hte reasons I'm jsut looking for easy meals I cna use to replace it. I only eat it cus its easy as shit to get. : )
When I feel lazy and want something to eat quickly these are some things I make/eat: -noodles with sauce/spices -sandwiches -fruit, bananas being my favorite -an avocado (a whole avocado has over 300 calories) -nuts -olives..yummmmm
Why are you looking elsewhere for motivation? You need to first get some self- discipline then as xexon suggested, learn to cook. Your diet should contain as little processed food as possible and look out for sugars in ingredients lists... anything with the suffix "ose" is a sugar. Limit carbs... eat whole grain bread and brown rice... the white versions of both are less healthful. Eat lots of fresh, unprocessed fruits and vegetables... spent most of your food budget in the produce section. Limit red meats -- substitute ground turkey for beef. Eat old fashioned oats for breakfast. Instead of three large meals daily eat five or six small ones. I also suggest adopting some sort of regular exercise routine... preferably with some resistance training to build and maintain muscle mass which will serve you well as you get older and want to keep off weight. Most adult males require about 2500 calories to maintain body weight doing light exercise. The more you do, the more calories you will require. The older you get, the more muscle mass you'll need to keep your metabolism up. Seems like alot? Most people will agree with you. I've given similar advice to a few and they decided they were happier killing themselves with crap... and they learned not to whine about their health and weight to me. If you arrive at the same conclusion as them then it's ok... just don't bitch about not feeling well and being out of shape-- the information is out there for you if you're truly interested in taking charge of your physical state. By the sounds of it you're looking for easy answers just like most other people. Unscrupulous diet companies prey on people like that... peddling quick and easy answers when the only thing that loses weight is the customer's wallet.
yeah have a day of da week where you can prepare food and frig it. -fruit salads w/nuts and a splash of lemon juice -any pasta really -brown rice and beans w/peppers -avocado -veggie wraps -get creative w/it
McDonalds is fuckin nasty as hell. My bro works there and he refuses to eat there cause he sees first hand how gross it is. Old products, pattys turning green/gray. (Pukes)
ok, this is quite easy to do - forget everything that has been said already. this is the best - THE BEST - way to get yourself off eating fast food...its been proved by science. so the first thing you do is look for alternatives to what you get with fast food, but are still quite easy to get. This is called the weening process. go to the local gas station or corner store. there you will pick up some of the rotating hot dogs and microwavable foods. also, you pick up some fruit pies, you know, to get your daily fruit intake up. fruit pies are great as breakfast and snacks, and they're are a variety of fruit flavors to choose from. i recommend 2 breakfast burritos, 4-6 fruit pies, 1-2 hot pockets for lunch and dinner. so after 2-3 weeks of that everyday, you'll be used to having fruit in your system again and you'll be ready for the next stage. this is the fruitarian stage - all foods will be fruit. you'll be keeping the fruit pies in your diet, but you'll also include caramel apples, jelly bellies, mamba fruit chews, bit-o-honey, chuckles, and various other fruit type foods. this is a great stage to fully embrace the goodness of fruit - lots of energy will come from this, so get exercising, you'll need to do it to burn off the extra super energy you'll have. now you're off fast food, getting fruit into your body. some good living you have ahead now. remember, this has been proved by science.
easy- make a salad! One of my favs is a tortilla salad Just get a bowl of lettuce and take some tortilla chips and break them into smaller peices for the salad. Sprinkle some pre-shredded cheese on it... Then pour ranch dressing on it! Tasty and easy. If your too lazy for even that, then get a pre-made salad from safeway or somewhere And if you go on a jog beforehand you probably won't feel like greasy food. So exercise! It'll make you feel better too. (releases endorphins and whatnot)
Is the pork rinds stage optional then? I confess I'm not fully read on this genius diet strategem. I try to ease things through the system by eating whole sticks of butter before every meal.
Okay I guess we have to understand what kinda person you are. Seems like you're like my boyfriend... he ate fast food cuz it was cheap and easy to get. He doesn't cook. But thankfully, there are a lot of good things you can buy in boxes or frozen stuff that you can microwave. Couscous, burritos, indian meals... there is all kinds of stuff, and they are easy enough to make for someone who doesn't cook, and way healthier. That will have to do til you have a nice companion cooking for you or you decide to cook =P
You can help yourself by eating in silence, putting your sandwhich/even burger down between bites, chewing fully, and NOT talking while eating, at least not while chewing. (Mindful eating) Also, fast food is not good for your health, you know this by your own descriptor of it as "shit" in your post. So ask yourself,"Am I worth more than this?" before you do the damage to yourself and eat the poison you have the ability NOT to eat. You are always in the driver's seat--free to choo have you ever tried meditation? I am going to refer you to a stress releif site..I think it may help you stop a minute..and 'fast' won't be your only choice in food or life, check out IBreathe-In.com.
i'm reallllly hoping this was sarcasm, but the written word doesnt denote tone of voice so i can't be sure. this should be titled "the self-loathing hedonistic glutton suicide diet." i mean jesus, if nothing else you'd suffer from extreme constipation due the complete lack of fiber and excessive saturated fat.
yes, this is a optional stage by itself or you can include it in the weening off stage. there is some flexibility to it. you are getting quite the rise in protein with these, so these are great to include
Alright here's another suggestion : Check out the wild plants in your close surrounding. There should be at least 3 - 5 who work for you as healing plants. Those which grow right in your living area have greater healing potential than any you would buy in a store. Ask the plants to help you (very same question you came here with) ... (no joke) ... and listen, and make this your instant gratification. It's like we walk on this earth like in sleep ... like we forgot how to walk on it and be part. Be whole
