this is my first time growing and im making my indoor setup right now. i right now i have 3 1 week old sprouts that i started in my window seel and 2 other plants that have yet to sprouted. ok i just baught 3 cfl's- 2 60w5700k spectrume (daylight) and 1 100w white light. im making a cage kinda thing out of 2 mini carbord display boards with tin foil walls and a white foam wall and a white rupper bottom it about 2.5f tall and 1.5f long on each side im also planing on puttting a little fan right outside of the cage by a opening. im going to have my lights on a 15hr light cycle wit the 2 60w daylight cfl's until they flower ad im going to leave the fan on all the time. i kno im prob doing a tin of shit wrong so plz help me out as much as u can thanks.
You will want to give them 18 hrs a day of light for the veg period. Some strains will flower with as little as 16 hrs (Durban Poison I believe). Also move the cfls 3" above the tops. The set will work for a bit but try to get a little better lighting setup.
You could give em 24, I've noticed some plants respond better to it. No need to keep turning it off and on either (or trusting a timer). You can look for a bathroom vanity strip, they usually have 3-6 sockets in a row. A four-strip 45w one inside a rubbermaid container w/ computerfan circulation has the potential to yield around 100g. (would need the right strain). But two of em and random bag seed would be more than enough to keep yourself supplied stealthly.
