Im planning on 15-20 plants Of www.buydutchseeds.com STRAIN ICE! Tell me if this is a nice set up.
yer ice2000 looks pretty good but your gonna need a ozonizer or a carbon fan or every1 will know you are growing
Where to begin {:>! 55 gal. of water for 20 plants; this is going to break the bank, the nutes required for 55 gal. and remember one should change nutes every 2 weeks will be exceptionally expensive =>( we do the same with 10-15 gal res. "Completely sealed. AIR SHUT!" any living thing needs lot's of fresh air =>O "Miracle Grow Nutrients" is not for mj :>) "2 1000w HPS Lights" in this app. 1 will be more than plenty ;>) "C02 tank" If you are able to get air from outside into your room Co2 wouldn't be necessary :>) Are you going to circulate water through soil back to res?
No its the tank of water right, with a water pump and circulation pump so it keeps nutriients flowing fresh, then connected to a house. So its like a watersystem. And smokingitup my fan that takes out air goes outside in a window. And 2 1000w HPS, the more the better yeild correct? Fresh air from the fans. and the co2 i hear increase the yeild like crazy.
Depending on where you are aircooled hoods might be a good idea for those 1000s, their gonna put off lots of heat. Lose the test strips, I've always messed up my pH when using them, get a nice digital tester. Miracle Grow sucks, use some nice nutes. I use pure blend pro along with liquid karma and cal-mag as suppliments. Hygrozyme is also used in veg, it builds strong roots. Peat moss will make your soil acidic, so if you use it add some dolamite lime to the mix, it'll act as a pH buffer. And that seed site sucks. I don't know who all the breeders are, but it looks like they are charging 50 bucks for Nirvana strains. You can get those for like 15 bucks from legit sites like seedbay or seedboutique. Good luck.
Lune covered most of the subject, as for lites if you want the entire area covered use 2 600w hps. Because too many lumins can be as bad as too few, there are several threads here about lumins. The rule of thumb is, 600W HPS has enough lumins to cover 4'x4' area and 1KW HPS covers 6'x6' now you'll see larger areas mentioned for these , I've averaged the coverage area 'cause the lumins drop off the longer they're used till they're no better'n house lights, you'll need to replace bulbs every 4-8 months of continuous use:>)
More lumens are bad? Lol. I heard too much of anything will be bad for you, but for weed and light, I refuse to believe it I run an aircooled 1kw in a 4x4x7 box. Eventually it will be 2 in 4x8x7. Perfect amount of light IMHO 95 degrees is too high a temp (w/ c02 it just barely passes). If you want C02 to be effective gotta shoot for a max temp of 85 w/ c02. 75 w/out The seed site is no good, as said seedbotique.... or hempdepot.ca(expensive, but reliable and not in europe) C02 shouldnt really be used until you know what plant you will be growing (not strain, but actual plant, the phoenotype of that strain). For C02 to be effective you gotta know that your temps/humidity are dialed in, you know how your plant will grow, so you can train to maximize light, how it will stretch once flipped to 12/12 to work the canopy efficiently. And you gotta know how much nutes you can cram down it's throat before it will start to burn. Also how much water it drinks. You dont want to soil to become COMPLETELY dry, it messes w/ bud growth a bit. The pot lift method w/ a bit of diggin to check is the best method Only when all environmental variables are perfect can C02 make a noticable difference in yield. Any type of sunshine mix, or promix will be good for growing. You have the option of adding manure, bone meal, blood meal, guano, etc for a "just add water" organic solution. Or bare sunshine mix and water in hydro ferts every other watering. If you are dead set on miracle grow, it will work but remember to add epsoms salt every now and again or you'll get nasty brown spots all over.
I don't know where this myth came from. Theres so much mis-information about growing, it tends to make it so much more complicated than it is. CO2 .... I threw that stuff out years ago, total waste of money and effort. Keep it simple .... I use grow wool slabs placed in plastic boxes. One box on the ground holding the mix and another sitting on top holding the slabs. The boxes are linked together in groups of three, one pump at one end, water and nutrients enter at the other end where in winter a heater is placed in it. In summer I use an Air conditioner placed on the floor directing the cool air around the mixture and root systems. I have a "roof" set up 2' above the ground which keeps the lower area cool but the top hot and the Plants thrive. Last time I did a PH test was ... well I can't remember lol. I find it always finds the correct level on its own using this system and playing around with the PH in grow wool always ends in disaster. I have used the same slabs over and over again, once when I actually got curious I checked and found I had been using the same lot for three years. At least 15 grows went through that lot and I never "changed" the nutrient mix once in that time. It just keeps getting recycled. I don't use expensive mixes or bud boosters, it's all hype. The mix I use is probably about the cheapest on the market but price isn't the reason I buy it, I just find it works as good as the expensive ones. Another myth, 12 to 18 months is fine. I don't encourage using 1000 watt lights. I did for years but after a lot of experimenting I found 600 watts are better, you might need an extra light or two depending on the room size but they do keep the heat and elect bill down. (leads me to another point. DON'T steal the electricity, it's a sure way to get busted) If you use three lights or more in a row, use a light mover, the light moves through the plants better and it saves on one light. The only problem I have is keeping spider mite at bay, the chemicals that worked best have all been taken off the market so it's a constant battle finding something that works but isn't over toxic. My Favorite strain .... C99 which I have had since it was first released. I keep going back to it, I'm probably the only one left with the original strain. Currently trying out Jack Herer and Mazer. Before anyone starts hassling me saying I'm wrong about any of the above I just want to say that I have been involved in this for ~30 years. My first and only bust was in 1978 when I was caught growing in a cupboard. I still remember the look on the detectives face, he had never seen anything like that before. All he could say was "I gotta sit down" lol. I have seen and tried just about every system out there. What I said above is as simple and as good as you will get.
I want to set up a watering system like yours where you have a barrel of water with a pump and hose but the only pumps I find are constant flow where you can't turnt he hose nozzle on and off without burning up the pump. I believe I need an "on-demand" pump. Is the Wayne pump that ur using one where you can turn the hose nozzle on and off??
