Every time I go to use the brake, I feel this terrible grinding sensation underneath the car, and it sounds like I'm dragging a dead body around. I didn't notice it until I was on my way to a friend's house. I figured it might go away, so I continued on. I also noticed a constant dull screech when I opened the window. I pick him up, and as it turns out he got into a car accident last night because his steering wheel jolted and his brake rotor failed. He then described the same sound and grinding sensation that I was getting. Sucky thing is, it was our only way into West Chester. Luckily nothing happened. But it's getting towed tomorrow. I refused to drive it home from my friend's house. Oh well.
You're right, and with new tires it would cost $900. Fuck it, the repairman said he'd buy the car for $500. Would've been more, but the dashboard has been used for frequent graffiti.. Oh well. 1994-2007. RIP Honda.
he said he needed tires too though...i bought the cheapest tires (GENIOUS i know....it's going to come back and bite me hard in the ass one day X( and it was $500 just for that-i had to get new brake shoes, i forget how much it was though. might have been another hundred, i really can't remember. mine's a 1997 grand am-so there's always SOMETHING wrong with it
yeah this car had been going downhill for years now. there was always something going on with it... i don't miss it now that i'm up at college. it'll always be remembered though.
