I've been thinking very seriously about getting a Volcano for awhile. In the course of my searches I found this little tidbit below from a review at VapeNow. I thought the foxtail thing was pretty cool. I hate not being able to throw my pieces, although I have seen a frisbee that had a bowl in the center, but it's not very practical. The review was one of the things that finally led me to get the Volcano, I ordered the Vesuvius Package today (free grinder!) and I should have it tomorrow (free overnight shipping too!). I'll keep you all posted on my adventures. You have no idea how excited I am. I'm going to be so lifted 10 minutes after my mail is delivered tomorrow. One question though, do certain kinds of bud vaperize better than others? "Other Tips With the SOLID Valve system, you can actually throw the balloon from person to person like a foxtail. It's a lot of fun and sure beats moving! Get a good grinder with your Volcano if you plan to be using dry herbs. Grinding them up by hand is a headache. The Max or Maxine Grinders are good models, or a cheap coffee grinder works too. To attach the Balloons to the Valve Assembly, you can either use a clip or rings. The rings give you a tighter seal, but are more of a hassle to deal with when cleaning. The clip is easier, but doesn't always seal as tightly. Using zip ties to attach the Balloons also worked well."
Well I probably wouldn't smoke schwag out of a volcano vape if I had one. Just make sure you grind up your weed real nice and you should be fine. Let us know how it works out. My buddy is thinking about buying one.
With some vapes, you want your bud to be as dry as possible.. but believe me, dude, with the Volcano you won't have any problems regardless. The first time I used one was over in Amsterdam, and because I had been smoking all day anyways, I couldn't really gauge how well it worked. The next time I used one was when my old dealer bought one. It was awesome. After a few sessions with that thing, I was hooked and bought one myself. I use it a lot; but my girlfriend loves it. She has pretty bad asthema, so the vapor is way easier on her. The only downside to the Volcano, or vapes in general, is that the taste/smell is really muted. I'm a prick like that I guess, I really like to be able to taste the different types, especially when they're dank. So I still use my bong and bubs quite a bit.
