Recently i have watched the documentary "Jesus Camp", a fantastic mind fuck of a film. I was outraged, in one part when there was a mom home schooling her son. She tells him that global warming doesnt exist and that the temp. going up 6 degrees isnt gonna hurt nothing. Why the fuck do most cristians try to hide from global warming and why do they indoctrinate their kids to belive the same thing even though they will be the ones to pay the price in the end? Is it because most devote christians are conservative and trying to stop global warming seems more on the left wing?

Because they have their brains loaded with bs and insist that the world will end when it ends and "god" gave us this earth to abuse and destroy it to the best of our abilities simply for our own easy way out--like driving and using far too much energy, etc. half of my extended family is fundamentalist christians and I have never seen a single one of them avoid driving everywhere or turn off the tvs in the house when they aren't watching them or put a can/bottle anywhere besides the trash can.

Exactly, most christians today are more focused on the churches teachings of morality and not on what Jesus did and preached. Lets face it Jesus was a peace loving hippie and the church has now demonized him as being a conservitive hate mongering dick.

I think everyone should question "global warming", it's the new mantra twenty years ago it was the hole in the ozone layer...

I don't think it's religious factor at all, I think it's all about marketing.

OMG I just recently saw Jesus Camp to - scared the shit out of me!

I too was concerned by what that mother tells her son about global warning, but not nearly as concerned as I was about that freaky bible camp lady that was telling them all to go to war in the name of Jesus, or that little girl that was approaching strangers telling them that God had spoken to her and saying that all christians other than evangalists are fake - what are these people doing to their children???
