CNN is doing a series on radicalism in major world religions. My first reaction was positive, as it could be used to educate the masses about the contrast between religion used for enlightenment and religion used for oppression. But, upon further contemplation, I noticed it could be very damaging--here's why:

People of a certain religion, usually, have presumptions about other religions, so they're set up to be more suceptable to believing the worst about them. But when the series talks about their own religion, they're likely to think '...but that's not MY church', and not understand that it's the same situation for mosters.
I'm wondering if this is intentional.

    What do you guys think?

I don't think anything putting CNN and religion together could have a positive effect

And even if they were somehow doing something good, It wouldn't matter
Most people who follow a religion are extremely close minded and feel that other religions are "wrong". And I would guess that 80% of Americans don't understand their religion to begin with.
