So I know of a few places to go to hang out one i been to the other i just hurd of...... 1. www.pollywoggholler.com/ a little place in the wood you got to hike in to get to it... serving home made wine and brick oven pizza... drums and guitars jamming around a fire.... one of my fav places ever.....Alfred NY 2. www.zendik.org/ It a comune in NC I want to go check it out sometime seems real cool.... I get a lot of people look at this no one told me a hippy hang out..... someone tell me some places..... that are likt the ones i listed in earlyer post
Kalalau, Kauai I know lots of locals don't like hippies living back there, but lots of 'em live back in the forest...beautiful, sacred living quarters..I know back in the 70's there used to be a commune, they planted all these fruit trees and gardens which are still back there to this day...awesome awesome place..the most beautiful I've ever been to. a little touristy today, but very very kind.
Where at I am almost done here and then i am looking to go somewhere else where should i head next i am in Western NY now
before you go to zendik, check out the thread about it in the communal living forum, not such a kind place it seems. Kauai, I want to go so much, I met 2 people this summer who had lived there, one in a house, and one in the forest with other kids, and both had so many amazing things to say about it.
Oh yea..i heard bout that place in Kauai! My dad said some of his buddies split to go live over there because I think Elizibeth Taylor had alot of land there, and she let some hippies live there for free!! I wonder how it is over there now...maybe ill go visit!!
This summer me and a friend are starting from NY and going around the states... any festavals of other hippy hangouts you can tell me about I will hit them on my journey..... Thank you for all the ideas so far..... maybe we can even meet along the way.........
