I myself am getting a trying to get a masters degree in Law over here in the Netherlands. I am Dutch, so English isn't my first language. So for this particular master, law and politics of international security, I need to take the TOEFL and the IELTS tests to show that my English is sufficient to attend this masters degree. My question to you is, did any of you taake one of those test, and if so, what is your take on it. Is it difficult, doable, what do you need to do and those kind of things? Another question that I have is, I am thinking of studying in the US for a few monthes, do you know which universities have good educations in international Law. Thanks in advance.
IELTS is doable. I took the academic one on 11th of August and i just got an overall of 7.0. But i know little about TOEFL.... It should be easier for you to learn English, i suppose, because you are an European and west EU laguages have some kind of some origins. It's a different situation for me, because i am a Chinese and my first laguage is NOTHING like English, at all. My advise is to read a lot. Reading English newspapers will help. About US colleges, you may try Georgetown University.
