for the past few hours, ive had horrible pop up problems. i took the advice of a friend and downloaded AVG anti-spyware 7.5, ran it and deleted all the files except an Adware.Generic that it said had an error while deleting. every time ive had problems like this in the past i just did system restore but ive got A LOT of music on here i dont wanna loose. thanks for the help
well, do you have more than 2 partitions in your hard disk? if so you can move your music files to an other partition and reinstall your operation system in your first partition.
There are 3 rules to computer happiness. Don't use Internet Explorer. Use a firewall. Back up your critical information. You've broken all 3 from the sound of it. Welcome to the error of your ways. x
Buy an external hard drive and back up your music before formatting. AVG is pretty good - I use it too, but there are far superior virus scanners out there...you just have to be willing to pay for them!
1. i dont think i have a partitioned hard disk nor do i know how to partition it 2. all these other options cost money which i dont have 3. xexon, youre soo polite -.- thanks anyway folks. looks like im gonna have to re-download all my music : P
I got mcaffee with comcast, and until lately I've been able to cheat them out of updates wihtout registering (they have a new system, but I'll figure somehtign out...)
at the very least... http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ and btw, McAfee counts your updates from one year after registration. after one year, reinstall McAfee and re-register. my dad still gets updates from the McAfee 2005 version.
