Followers of the word of God, how can someone truely kill another in the eyes of God if there is life after death? How can someone commit suicide, if there is life after death, and go directly to hell? How can "Thou shall not kill" be a commandment if no one can truely kill another or themself in the first place? Something doesn't make sense. I think it's safe to say you all need to question whose word (because surely it was made up from lieing man) it is you're following it seems.

Why would God have ppl believe someone can be killed only to turn around and have ppl believe no one can be killed?

This law is simply stating that one would be most
unjust and unlawful in killing someone when it is
in the sense of physical murder, such as killing someone
    out of anger or revenge.
But when one kills in defense of their family, then
    no law is broken.
And no, no physical means can ever destroy the soul
so in reality, no, we are not killers.
We only cut short a temple's (physical body) time on
this plane of existance in an unnatural way, which is,
obviously, unnatural, and therefor, unlawful. -

people, as living organisms can be killed. an immortal soul, if you believe in that, can't be (as far as any theory i've heard says anyway)

To kill is to break the commandment, even if you are defending yourself or loved ones from attack, in God's eyes all are God's children, evil or innocent.
Thus when you defend your loved ones you must ensure you subdue the attacker without killing him/her and/or you must help engineer a society in which very few murderers are produced..karma.
The same goes for executing criminals abortion and war, all contraventions of the commandment 'THOU SHALT NOT KILL' there are no sub clauses that say its ok to kill enemy soldiers or criminals......there should be no confusion.....you may not terminate human beings under any circumstances.....

it's actually 'thou shall not murder'. it's a bad translation.
and as for the bible endorsing the taking of another life well:

Dinah, the daughter of Jacob, is "defiled" by a man who seems to love her dearly. Her brothers trick all of the men of the town and kill them (after first having them all circumcised), and then take their wives and children captive.(gen) 34:1-31

Joshua, with God's approval, kills the Amalekites "with the edge of the sword." (ex) 17:13

Any person or animal that touches Mt. Sinai shall be stoned to death or "shot through." (ex) 19:12-13

A child who hits or curses his parents must be executed. (ex) 21:15, 17

If an ox gores someone, "then the ox shall surely be stoned." (ex) 21:28

"Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." Thousands of innocent women have suffered excruciating deaths because of this verse.(ex) 22:18

and that's just a little bit of it.
    god's a B*tch.

the soul stays in your body's carbon when you die and it's horrible thing to decompose. luckily for us, astral rangers will not decompose when they die. they shall fly straight into the sun! and suffer the flames. the apocolypse is coming and it's rated 'PG-13'.

are you afraid of astral rangers?

    i'm not.
