Tamam Shud was one of the most original and innovative Australian groups of the late '60s / early '70s, and they played a very important part in our musical development as pioneers of acid-rock and progressive music. Long after they split they remained a 'cult' item, and a definite mystique still surrounds them. Their original recordings were (and still are) highly prized by collectors and aficionados, but they are now very hard to obtain. i suggest to hear their album "Evolution - Goolutionites And The Real People" but first watch their only video on you tube: http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGrzBoHCrWE
tamam shud, frequently used terminology in persian lang ..literally translates to "its over/its done"
Yeah like most "historical aussie bands", this band evolved from surf music.....very interesting. If you dig TS, you might like Tol-Puddle Martyrs too.....their "famous" aussie hit was "Claudette Jones"........and they're still kickin' today!!! http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=25878567 New album....
