There has been NO rain and the temps have ranged from 100-110 F for the whole month of August, man this has been a LOUSY season for MJ here in Alabama. My poor plants get watered everyday and they are still a little groggy looking. I hope it rains soon and cools the fuck off so my buds will start getting BIGGER FASTER. GRRRRRRRRR. I am sick of hot weather!!! ...rant complete...
....rant allowed.....its been horrible here too!!! Haven't even started flowering yet 44N lat. its been hot and dry...
Ive been forcing mine to flower last few days, more white hairs now but thats it, for about a week or 2 last month it felt like automn, I think we're all havin a bad year
If you water every day and they're drying that fast and looking sad, two words: vitamin B1 foliage sprays.
^.^ Thats four words, lol. My fishy mulch must be saved for my upcoming indoor grows unfortunatly. M4N14C42O : man it must really suck to still not even have flowers forming yet!!! As I type this there is thunder outside though...perhaps the month long drought (3rd one this year) will end tonight... fingers crossed
Shhhh, it's always "two words" to me, even if it's really ten. Haha. We had a lot of dry-and-hot here, but our outdoor plants (we only have two, they were given to us at around 4ft. tall) are in buckets (huge buckets, Rubbermaid bins, etc. work well for outdoor in hot/dry weather). Seems like the way to go if it's that hot and you can't plant somewhere near water. A couple friends last year planted about 50 in this... thing. I don't know, it's like a big muddy pond/puddle thing. Their plants were over 7ft. and bushy as fuck, and they almost never had to watch them, gave them organic chemicals occasionally... and then got raided. So if you can find a place like that, it's definitely the way to go, but you NEVER want to plant somewhere you're not sure about (obviously, they thought they were sure, but somebody found their stuff). In that case, Rubbermaid bins and things like that work really well to keep them from drying out super fast. Just throw a couple inches of rock at the bottom for better drainage, and the water that collects down there will keep the ends of the roots and the bottom of the soil at least slightly wet.
We've been getting scattered storms lately, 3-4 times a week in Florida, my plants are finally starting to get bigger
