tip: use a flee comb , combing with normal combs will make them fall out.

the locks come unraveled........backcombing is pointless anyway........it's the impatient persons solution to wanting "dreadlocks"

i don't know if backcombing is completely "pointless." it sort of gives a jumpstart to dreads. yeah, a lot of them fall out, but a lot of them knot up nicely. it's not completely natural, but it's better than dread perms or gunking the works up with wax, at least in my opinion. :)

sure, i'll agree it's better than perms or wax...................and I think for *some* people it may give the illusion that they have "dreadlocks" faster...........but I don't think it does anything to speed up the process...........in fact it may hinder it more than help it cuz oft times backcombed hair has to unravel before it'll dread anyway................whatever works...i'm not knocking it, i'm just saying imho it's pointless. It's a quick fix for those who either want dreadlocks for fashion purposes, or just the ol' fashioned impatient.
