    * This is from a little pamphlet I made that I have been handing to random
people, and I intend to hand out more as I travel during this current week.
If you dont believe in God, it's ok, you dont exactly have to in order to
participate in this. I it simply a prayer for world peace, fellowship, and the
bettering of human conditions across the Earth by means of the vibrational
power of thought focused on scientific healing affirmations, which is an
ability that we all equally posses, and can potentially form into an immense
healing technique through yoga. It is extremley simple, and a lot easier than
you may at first think. -

    Healing The Earth
    Children of God Realization

We are all Children of God.
All human being’s are made in the image of God, thus we are all equal in His Eyes.
Though we live in separate, governed lands; though we have established and flourish in diverse, original cultures; though we have created and belong to diverse religions, all of which claim to posses the ‘only’ correct methods that, if followed devotionally and without subjecting dogma to open questioning one may attain salvation, liberation, or acceptance in the eyes of God, the reality remains that the One God of which all religions recognize and to Whom scriptures compel us to worship is, in actuality, the same God, only He is known by different names.
    God, Krsna, Yahweh, Allah, etc.
What we, as brothers and sisters living under the blanket of starry skies together need to come to terms with, is that simple fact : We are all Children of God. We are all made in His image. We all posses the potential to realize God through many different means of practicing devotion, loving-kindness, acceptance, and fellowship.
As Children of God, all living beings on this Earth are One. We are a very large Family under God, whom we perceive through physical means as the underlying source of the energy that powers us to live. We are batteries receiving direct love-energy from the Source. And we may tap into that Soul-Source directly if we so chose to. This direct experience of non-dualistic unity with God, our essence, is both pleasing to us immensely as well as pleasing to God. When we remain covered with the veil of cosmic delusion that lies as a thin film across our awareness, we are stuck in the belief that we are different. Man/Woman, dark/light, rich/poor, good/evil. This is the root cause of our problems as human beings, we do not tap into our true essence, uniting our individual Soul with God, and we are left to believe that this physical nature is all that there is. And this is what causes us to be distrustful of others, dogmatic, secular, and un-loving. This separation causes violence, misunderstanding, separation, war; and on the personal scale it is responsible for feeding our sense-gratifying ego with desires such as greed, jealousy, and obsession, leading us to follow through with our negative thoughts of stealing, lying, and revenge. These personal material attachments we breed are entirely responsible for our physical, mental, and spiritual afflictions, such as obesity, depression, and holier-than-thou dogma.
The one simple thing we can all do, as a loving, peaceful, accepting family of Children of God, is to pray together. I propose that every evening at 10pm, wherever we are, whether at home in silence, at work, or out enjoying ourselves in activity, we take just a moment to acknowledge the fact that we are a Family, that God loves us all equally, and that there are other people in this world, all members of our family, who are not as fortunate as we are in this present moment. They need our help; our positive thoughts alone contain enough vibratory power when concentrated fully in our Soul Love to send loving and healing energy to our family members across the planet. Our brothers and sisters are suffering immense pains of all different colors in every corner of the world, and they desperately need our help. Of course not all of us are in the able position to lend material support to our Family, but we all own the power of Love and this may be shared for free, at any given moment, and in an infinite amount of potential methods, so why not share what we all have? It is our God-given rite, as His Children, to choose love over anything else in this universe. Why wait? God has given us free will, and we can see the very obvious results of the polar opposite reactions grown out of either positive or negative actions. Why not chose Love over hate? The Divine Love from God IS the reason why we exist. Let us all embrace this Love, together.
It may not seem to be very much help to simply pray, meditate, or broadcast our healing energy mentally to our fellow peoples, but done together, in unity, with full concentration set upon the goal of Love, we can change the world. Just a few moments of your time each day, once a week, once a year, whatever suits you, is all we are asking. At 10pm each night we will be praying for peace and positive change for all in need. And we can feel the power of our energy when we pray in unison across the planet.
Let us help each other, let us Heal the Earth.

Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God
    - Matthew 5:9

Only love can heal the world.:)

Perhaps religion is not really that effective a treatment, because it often deviates from love, or says that love is something other than that which it really is.

IMO we could discard 99% of 'religion', so long as we had real love, which is actually the only true religion anyway.

In quite a few religions it seems that love is always conditional. You do x and x and you have have had it. I don't even think this is love, it's desire of a certain thing packaged as love. Love can only be unconditional imo...

True love and compassion would have to be unconditional. That is, on the level that religions say it exists.
Religions have twisted the whole idea of love by making it conditional on this or that belief or set of actions.

With human love, sometimes you don't have a choice but to love.....:)

    I don't agree.

I think you're just sad and don't experience human love, so you seek to minimalize it's reality and beauty.

If you are ever blessed with children you'll surely change your mind.
