on my mp3 player....i plug it in and i try ro re download it but it tells me it doesnt have a location or it needs an update and it asys look on update windows.com for one, i dont get it

It could be any number of problems, if you really want to fix it I'm sure you could. It sounds like a solid player, and for only $60 it is probably not worth fighting with your old one. Good luck!
