Has anyone seen Farenheit 9/11? It's like the dummies guide to why our president is fucked up. Post your thoughts if you have seen it, I'm really curious. I'm going to cross post this on the politics forum also, fyi. :sunglasse
He is just a complete moron. Everything he says is one sided, with no real substance. The movie sucks.
Funny thing about this movie, If you were to watch it without Michael Moore speaking and just watch the video clips with a sheet on your hand that tells you what each clip is. You would be asking the same questions that Moore does in the film. I think that make it his strongest movie yet. He does a good job of presenting the material.
I could see how someone could think what he is saying is opinionated, but I see his side on many topics. I think he does a wonderful job expressing things and getting through to people about what is wrong in the politics area. It is all just an opinion, I'll admit that, and lord knows everyone will continue to argue and complain about anything that goes on in this country, but I do believe that his opinion and artistic way of expressing it will open many eyes before election time. I'm not ashamed to admit that it made me much more interested and concerned in the whole election process, so I'm hoping that others (Bush supporters especially) will watch this film with an open mind the same as I did.
rich people talk to rich people - they do business with rich people - they listen to rich people - if youre not rich you must have done something wrong or be stupid, therefore a rich person doesnt have to listen to you - farenhieght 9/11 is an illustation of this to me - bin ladens family and bush's family are in bed together? of course, theyre both rich. democracy is a sham, its just the people in power doing what serves them best. they dont represent the will of the people, they manufacture the will of the people with tv and then do it. (i think thats a ripped off quote from somewhere.. "manufacture") thats what the movie said to me. I m a canadian by the way, and i dont hate the american people at all, but i do think you've been duped. Class self interest crosses all borders - globalization is its product.
The Moore documentary is certainly worth seeing. It asks, it probes, it intimates. Any viewer will come out of it troubled by what's presented. Even a diehard Bush fan has got to be more than a little uneasy about the film's major statements and opinions. But it's not Bush who's on trial here- it's his electorate. The global view of Americans at the moment is extremely unkind. And they probably deserve it.
it could have highlighted the US govts. policies n relationship with israel as well but did not. it was a bit biased but over a good movie as it seemed like the only way to make the point to some people who still are blind as hell!!
dude, michael moore may have had his facts very factual, but the way he displays them is very crooked.
It's more like the dummies' guide to why dummies believe anything that a lying dummy says when his movie agrees with what they already hate -- George W. Bush. The movie is just a hate-fest for people who loathe Bush. Naturally, they rally around it like a mantra, because it validates their feelings. I don't believe that anyone who came out of that movie hating Bush did not already hate Bush. -Jeffrey
if you do some research in his facts in bowling for columbine (i cant say about farenheit as i havent seen it) theyre anything but factual. many of his statistics are taken randomly from around the net and have been heavily disproven, all of them made out to make america look as bad as possible. ive got to agree with peacefuljeffery, bushhaters flock to him as it "validates" what they think. people say the public are brainwashed by tv and the us govt (which they well maybe) yet they dont see how much hes leading around and brainwashing people also. hes a moronic, deceitful parasite..
Michael Moore is stating truths, but his video and music that he adds to it, leads you to believe more than what is really there..if that makes sense?
your president is a self richeous narrow minded maniac jeffrey. he's a rich corrupt c@#! that deserves to be distrusted. His reaction to the horrible thing that happened in new york? " God DAMN! i'm startin' a WAR!" "But sir, we know it was osama, but we dont know where to find him.." "I dont CARE! we are are gonna bomb the livin fuck outta SOMEBODY.. hey - lets go get saddam; we'll finish up what daddy couldnt get done" " but sir, whats his relation to the wtc attack?" " i dont CARE! he 's gotta be in on it somehow - lets just get 'im and figure it out later" "uhh, ok mr president." forgive me, but i expect more than badly thought out reactionary bullshit from the most powerful man in the world. assuming the whole counterattack (war of agression) was to prove the point "dont fuck with america", has it been effective? I dont think so. i think its proven to many would be terrorist leaders that they can infact hide from the most powerful nation in the world. i think its proven that the american military is stretched too thin ( how bout that draft, hahaha), and can be demoralised with guerilla tactics. and why the fuck is he still in iraq? you want to start a democracy? on its face thats honorable, but what self respecting nation will allow a us puppet govt to stand? they'll take one of their own dictators over being run by him anyday. So why didnt you just leave them the fuck alone? what did they do to you? Yes saddam killed alot of people - but the day will come when bush's presence there kills more people in this war than saddam ever did - will he leave then? no, he'll just keep on killin, in the name of democracy. what should he have done? now i've said this since before the war started, and thats DONT START AN UNJUSTIFIABLE WAR! if he hadnt started this war, he could 've sunk a lot of effing money into counterintelligence, found osama, and sent the special ops boys in to erase him off the planet. because you know if he got away with one, he'd try another and you 'd catch him operating. now he's in full hide mode, and theres no trail to follow. but no, the reactionary fool opened a can of worms he cant possibly repack, instead of dealing with the enemy he knew. why did he do this? because he overestimated his ability, and didnt properly consider the situation. I feel sorry that he had to test his nations muscle in this fahion, instead of using a calm, calculating approach. i feel sorry for the whole world. I hope americas injured pride doesnt cause it to run amok like an angry highschool football player. i hope you learn to take a step back and think now and then. I've been trying to hold off writing this shit down, but to not think twice about bush after seeing farenhieght 9/11 - that sounds like head in the sand denial to me. hate mail, anyone?
i think, regardless of how he dislayed his messege or twisted the truth, he still manged to get people to go see it. he has you people moaning about his movie here and you cant deny that you all know alittle bit more about the corruption thats going on. the movie is supposed to be easily digestable simply because the real truth wouldnt fit on many of your spoons. he makes money(i downloaded it) an people like me are alittle more aware of shit. everyones a winner
I think that I should let you know, right off the bat, that your atrocious spelling and grammar immediately brand you as "not very intelligent" -- whether you are or are not. That's a big strike against you that you could probably avoid if you would just care a little bit about what you are writing, and how. - "self-righteous," not "self richeous" - Is Kerry less rich? Through marrying rich widows, he has far more money than Bush does! - Place names like "New York" get capital letters. Don't let the informality of the internet be your bullshit excuse for not knowing standard things like that. Is the apostrophe key on your computer broken? What is "dont"? Does that rhyme with "front"? You write like a near-illiterate! You're very hard to take seriously. -Jeffrey
you're making fun of my lack of punctuation and capitalization? and one (admittedly bad) spelling error? very weak my friend. Someone of higher intelligence i'm sure could see past my posts literary imperfections, and still be able to rebut its more controversial points.
