I have been no stranger to psychoactive substances throughout the course of my lifetime, but peyote has been one that I have yet to cross paths with. I have recently ordered Aldous Huxley's 1954 classic "the doors of perception" and plan on reading it and getting as much as I can out of it before I trip. I have also read various trip reports on erowid and whatnot. But I'd like to hear some more stories, just for the hell of it, before I do my thang. I Don't know about peyote but i do know about san pedro since it grows around my parts. if its effects are similar I am impressed. my last trip was from an old sanpedro cactus that must be at least 50+ years of age and been growing only disturbed by snails that eat it and cause it to grow funky. very clean and spiritual. I usually only partake if i have cannibis herb on hand. Its verry consistent as far as coming up and staying up until you come down. very long lasting and very internally visual on high doses at nite. the comedown is actually taxing for me as far as being off a bit for a few days but nothing like a hangover from ethyl alcohols. I know you can grow seeds from online vendors in cactus growing kits or you can travel to the laredo texas area and pick it in the wilderness out in those parts.
