so last night I decided to smoke in my room for the 1st time. I had this nice fat bowl I've been waiting smoke for the last 2 days and finally I've had a chance to light up the last of my weed. So 1st thing I do to make my room smoke ready is put a towel under the door and I put a fan by the door and turn it on full. Then I open up my window and grab my febreeze. I didnt have a lighter so I grabbed some matches and started smoking. Now my house is a 2 story house and im way in the back on the 2nd story but after 3 big hits I thought I heard something coming up the stairs (it could of just been cause I was paranoid) so I hide my pipe and bag in the back of my amp and as soon as I spray my febreeze my mom walks in. She comes in and asks me why it smells like smoke up here so I grab the matches and say I was lighting matches cause I was bored * I was high and its the only thing I could come up w/ * and all she did was tell me not to do it anymore cause she doesnt want the house to go on fire and blah blah blah and anywho I got away w/ and she bought it but damn it was a close call.. If the weed didnt make me paranoid I would have been busted haha. But what did I do wrong? by dorm room standards I took it a few notches above necessary but I supposed I could of used a foofer or whatever there called but I thought my room was sealed. I have a few floor air vents and one in the ceiling.. should I have covered those? I didnt really think air would be going down into the floor vents but maybe the ceiling one.
yah probably a good idea well w/e.. its not a priority that I smoke in my room for now on I'll probably just smoke in my car.
hey man i get ya, i get sick of smoking in the car too. best thing to do is make sure you're hitting the bowl right... by this i mean never letting any smoke escape (cover it with your hand), always blwo the smoke directly out the window or into a fan, and use a sploof or whatever they are called. dont feel the need to take HUGE hits, little hits are less conspicious i think haha. good luck dude
Right. Matches are horrible. The sulfur on the matches can be smelled from outside of a room. Also if it wouldn't be too conspicuous duct tape the edges on your door to make sure no smoke gets out. Then again if your smoking the bowl by your window that shouldn't be a problem unless your blowing smoke at the door because your high and you think its funny. In reality you should be able to smoke in your room out of a bowl because little smoke escapes and if you use a spoof then it shouldn't really smell much. The febreeze definitely helps though. Also what Nate said about the fan is 100% true. Just face it so it blows out of your window then blow your hits through the spoof at it. arty:
What you might wanna do, I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned this, but make a spoof (stuff some dryer sheets in an empty paper towel tube, basically) and press this against the screen of your window when you blow out your hit. This has always worked in my boyfriend's house, and his parents are completely paranoid.
idk.. haha like I said its not a priority my parents just sometimes question why I drive my car out so often but I just say im bored and who cares your not paying for the gas. I might try one more time but im going to definetely make a spoof and hook my huge fan up into the window and blow everything at that... if I "almost" get caught again im done... thers only so much a stoners heart can take before you pass out trying to come up w/ a good excuse when your high. btw a good way to make a spoof or w/e is to put strong scented dryer sheets in a water bottle... cover the sheets in lavender liquid... cut holes on one side and get the sheets wet whenever you smoke... make sure the holes are facing up so you dont get wet and then when you blow it out it just smells like lavendar haha... perfect excuse if you have lavendar scented candles or w/e.
always use a lighter, matches give off a really strong smell that is obvious even beyond your bedroom.
