Patchy Jeans *Reconstruction*

    So these jeans shrunk in the closet if ya know what I'm sayin'. So I decided what the heck I'll add some patchy sides.

    This is my first time attempting this. I'm satisfied but I need to take in the waist since it came out too big.

    those are great! would you mind telling us how you did that? i'm really dying to reconstruct my wardrobe and am looking for a good starting place. :)

    sure. I first ripped the side seams out (or you can cut them out, whichever) then I held the jeans up to myself and measured how much material I will need to make them fit. Then I cut out squares of that size (+ seam allowances) and simply sewed them in. The waist came out wrong because I mostly gained booty/leg weight so I should have tapered the uppermost square but its easy enough to fix. Better too big than too small! Good luck!
