I have internet explorer (like alot of people) and its never really been much of a problem but for the past few weeks its just started restarting alot. It happened 2x today. It just said that Internet explorer has encountered a problem. Then it says its looking for a solution and then it restarts.

It never used to be a problem and my laptop is fairly new. I dunno if its due to my browser as my brother uses the same connection but different browser and hes fine.

Another thing it may be is Tracking cookies. I get loads of them so im gonna change what websites Im going to. I don't know if thats the problem but i did a scan yesterday and i found 8. Did another scan today and found 3. Could that be doing anything? It says they might be tracking the websites im going to but not sending them to anyone and theyre of low risk...

    Any advice??
    Thanks

Time to run some spyware cleaners like Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy. They are both free. And plan on running a deep scan at least weekly. Along with any anti virus software you use. And always check for updates before running your weekly scans.

You may need to un-hide the hidden Data folder in Documents & Settings, then go to the Microsoft Folder and manually delete the IE caches. Set IE to clear the caches on exit (same for Firefox and Opera. Opera can get hosed when its cache gets too large, so always clear out your caches before exiting. Set to clear caches on exit.) If Firefox ever hangs, you can almost be sure that it is Java trying to infect your system or there is something wrong in a cookie (like a browser hijack which tries to change your home page.)

Download CCleaner from www.majorgeeks.com . Run it once a day, before shutting down the machine.

this is the very best thing you can have when using Windows. it is more valuble than a firewall and virus scanner.
