Hi Dave and Bonzai, We are about 3-3 1/2 hrs from you guys but occasionally go to the KC area for shopping or to get away for a few days. Been to a few concerts there. I used to live in Lawrence, when I was like 20. Went to KU for a year and then transferred. Is there much going on in the KC/Lawrence/Leavenworth area in the next month or two? I've been wanting to go to Schwagstock (southern MO), but it's so damn far and we are so damn busy! Maybe next year! Take care~~
Nice to meet you Shelle. Santacaligon is going on in Independence MO now and the Renaissance festival in Bonner Springs KS will be going on until mid October. The Cider-fest in Louisberg KS (good bluegrass!) is coming up soon and another bluegrass thing will be at Watkins Mill (Excelsior Springs MO) soon. Yea there's plenty of that kind of stuff in the next couple months. We try to make it to south Mo for a float trip or two in early summer and again in late fall just to hike and enjoy the scenery.
