Just out of curiousity. As of now, corporate america has me until I can make enough money to branch out on my own. But I am a Visa/Investment Specialist for a Credit Union. I guess it's better than working for a bank, considering Credit Unions are geared more towards helping the community... Not until after they take their "fair share" for doing so, though.
I am a 19 yr old full time student, in search of a cushy job that doesnt make me do anything above and beyond good grades.
I always cooked.. started my first job at Taco Bell in 65' ( i was 15) I worked two weeks and on New Years Eve my friend Leslie droped by and we took some acid while I was suppose to be working...needless to say I didn't work there after that.lol. we ended up walking to the beach. Newport Beach in so cali.. being a Drop Out I didn't quailify for many 'cushy' jobs.. when I did work it was in restuarants and bars. Kitchen work is very hard and low paying. I also had a house cleaning service call The Dust Busters cleared about 450 a week, not bad income, but nasty work.. ppl can be filthy pigs. I leased out a resturant once and did very well untill I applied for my bber and wine permit and was burned out by the Babitist who gave me a death notice for bring alcohol in the comunity?!? they had a VFW and a private club in the same town but I was hippie and they didn't want 'my kind' around. The whole time I was breaking my back in kitchens I was taking classes and going to seminars for Natural Healing. When I got my certification I opened up a small shop and Iridology Clinic.. I made soaps and candles and lotions and potions, sold herbs and oils vitamins and minerals.. and sold them. Now, I am still an Iridologest/Herbologest and still make my soaps and candles. A true hippie trade. Moral of the story.. stay in school.. you usually end up going back anyway so do it while your young before you have too much going on to concider it. The more education, the cushier the job. Brightest Blessings on your journeys young ones sh
I think a stay at home parent is very exciting, as you have the responsibility of raising a healthy, happy child who will be a positive contribution to society. It is a full time job (24/7), and I believe one of the most important jobs in the world today. I was a full time parent for 5 childrren, and now I crochet hats, have a small business, and am having some success at generating a small income for my family.
I was just thinking it may not be very exciting in the veiw of together people, as you know it's non stop. I too like doing crafts, tie dye is one I particlularly enjoy and have successfully sold a few shirts recently too.
Student at the moment.. balancing Ophthalmics (which will pay the bills) with Kinesiology and Naturopathy (which will EVENTUALLY pay the bills). Challenging but fun.
I want to make a living as an Astrologer,(yes I know that sounds flakey). Right now I am looking for work gardening, cooking, or baby sitting/childcare.
