again...first time acid tripper..

Ok,well am going to be trying acid for the first time in the very near future, just kinda want a crash course on what to do/expect. Psychedelics arent a completely new thing to me,have done salvia 15x three times now,first 2 times were a full on trip,the third time i just did a little bit and didnt actually see anything,just warped images of what was already there. Is acid anything like salvia? and for a first time how many hits should i take? thanks for any help

It's nothing like salvia, really. You might want to search the forum because there have been 1000 threads asking the exact same thing. Read lots of reports on erowid and read stuff by Tim Leary, Ram Dass, Terrence McKenna, and Huxley. Have fun and if you start to freak, just stop thinking, Be Here Now and listen to some good tunes.

 

I like this "be here now" business (although hate the oasis reference my head brings up)

Oh, and there's also a George Harrison song called Be Here Now... quite good, but can't compare to the book

 

Interestingly I came to that conclusion myself on a trip.. in the most spectacular fashion

When I'm having a really good trip at a psytrance party, I start to build my own distinct interpretation of the tracks that are playing, which usually means the music gets better, and the voice samples that play are like messages from my mind (sometimes abstract, and sometimes words of advice). I don't remember the exact sample I heard, but it went something like "everything you've lived for so far has lead up to this.. the here and now.. the very essence of space and time.. capture the moment!" and then.. just wow. What followed was without doubt the best trip I've ever had. Pure bliss from start to finish.

I know it sounds like it could have been a regular music sample but I'm fairly sure it was in my mind. I can kinda tell when the lyrics I hear aren't genuine, because I'm usually really bad at making out the words, but6 when it's in my trip, they're crystal clear
